I'd like a little more strategic aspect to the game and mission beyond simply pick your point squad, go in and shoot.
How about a list of objectives, and you have to decide not only which one has point importance (which one you shoot through), but which side objectives need which of your squad personnel to tackle them while you take the point objective and who leads those teams.
So ideally, Ryder has a potential of nine squaddies counting him/herself. That would account for three objectives with three fire teams and three possible ways the mission completes depending on how well you delegate.
Call it a riff on the Suicide Mission, but I really enjoyed that mission, and I know I wasn't alone.

I've got a new one. I'd like them to show a visual screenshot of our saves in the load screen. I don't always have time for multiple play thoughs, and it would be nice to see a glimpse of which save I'm loading in the instance that I want to replay a scene or I need to reload a section of gameplay.

- I want a female BFF who's tougher than me and takes nothing from nobody, unless they're bon bons.
- Batarian squadmate's already being handled in another thread.
- Pre-launch squad talk over coffee and donuts. How can you properly explore anything without coffee and donuts? Pretty positive this is why Americans didn't like the American Indians. They had neither, and also didn't have pizza. Can't be smokin' no peace pipe without fixing the munchies.

The ability to change the logos on the PC's armor. While this is in part because I hate the N7 armor with a passion, I always thought it was weird how they defaulted to it in ME2, when you were working for Cerberus.

Something we've NEVER had, not even once....
A.) A salarian squaddie that provides non-genophage or non-krogan related insight into salarian thought, culture, and what have you.
B.) That non-romanced squaddies can still have a meaningful, fulfilling relationship
C.) Deep, complex choices that create equal storylines branching across games (if necessary), with no "punishment" for picking the wrong answer, but not "plug and play", like the Virmire Survivor. Example: If I killed off Wrex, I want the same amount of content than if I kept him alive, none of this Citadel DLC nonsense.
That's all for now.

Seconded, it's a pain when you do multiple saves in a location. DAO and DA2 had screenshots to give you an idea, but not DAI, so it did get a tad confusing when I was trying to figure out what Skyhold save I needed to roll back to because I had futzed something up?

I know you could do the first one with thin cover in ME3... not sure about the second one.

Yeah I know, but I'm more talking about general cover. Even with today weaponry we can already shoot through brick walls and reinforced concrete, or ''chew'' it away with multiple hits. I'd like to see that because it can change tactics drastically.

... an Asari who was raised within the culture of her non Asari parent, maybe human or Salarian. Concerns about cultural identity (and the fact that they'd outlive almost everyone they know would ensue).
This is the recipe for Spock's and Worf's background, right?
As much as this has been well used for a character's personal history in Sci-fi, it's one that I enjoy.
Edit: What makes such a 'mixed' character so useful in a story is it gives us more insight into two cultures (at least) and makes for better characterization of a unique individual. When those two cultures are at odds with each other, the character can speak with insight and draws us in to their personality and consequential choices. This often gets me thinking: What would I do? I am drawn into the story further and care more about the individual, and can enjoy seeing how their shipmates and friends react to them.

Not enough badass moments.
Seriously? How many more can we have?
In fact most of the time he comes off and moves like a bumbling idiot.
Isn't this why we love Shepard so much? All that bad-ass bumbling? ![]()

I wouldn't mind being able to tell people to "go away". That's translated to a much nicer form
And I really want to be the boss of people, being the in charge of the ship wasn't enough when I couldn't really boss anyone around or tell them to leave or punish them for bad behavior. I want all that xD
Maybe we could tell a surly squadmate or a politician to shut up.

Skar, thanks for your comment.
I do view the game from a woman's perspective. That the female protagonist in ME is portrayed as the equivalent of the 'can do' male is what makes ME an interesting game for me. If the Femme protagonist wasn't a strong leader, I wouldn't play the game. I'm not a helpless bimbo who's only good for sexist male objectification (although it's fine with me that my husband loves it when I play this role for him from time to time.
). Had I not gone into the medical field, I would have succeeded as a combat fighter pilot. I'm competitive, but still enjoy being a girly-girl during off-hours. ME lets me do both (sort of).
Edit: It's not worth development resources to have a bar scene where all the women characters (with the female protagonist) have a girl's night out, and a similar one for the male protagonist, but then I seriously doubt that a bunch of male game writers have any clue how to write a good conversation for us. Lol.
In the trilogy I think BW did well with writing and developing the female characters, and I applaud them for that. In the very short scene with the femme Ryder in this year's E3 trailer, I was encouraged.

More advanced customisation for casual clothes. Would be cool to pick multiple items instead of one pre made outfit.
A female Elcor news reporter would be cool. Punching her would be a bonus.
