One thing is certain: the Normandy would not exist. The problem is, Shepard is not totally the leader of the fleets that take on the reapers in the final assault; Hackett is. Problem is, Hackett would not be giving missions to some asari or turian. Those guys would be taking their orders from the leaders of their respective worlds, but the asari were holdouts and the turians were busy holding Palaven and doing little else until someone got the krogan to help them.

Except Hackett has given orders to members of pretty much every race dozens of times during the Reaper War since the MP is canon.

MP characters are minor mooks sent into the field to deal with hordes but never to deal with the key points of the war.

I did and it's called resources. And everyone wants their favorite species rendered which is just not possible.

Oh I am sure they COULD loosen their grip on the purse strings and include a few of the major species as playable races without hurting their profit margin that much, but this is EA we are talking about here and if there is a corner to be cut they will cut it and then charge $50 for it's re-inclusion, they don't just want some of the money, they want ALL the money and things like "player choice" and "fun" are extravagances they can do without!

But then why would they need to include such things when they have such a devoted fanbase willing to defend them to the death for the privilege of being nickled and dimed by their favorite publisher?

Still means Hackett gives orders to aliens. If he can order them to do that, why can't he order them to do more important missions?

Because as a leader in the Alliance, he would choose from within the Alliance, and that means a human soldier/officer. There's never a reason to choose an alien over one of them.

They should done this with DAI, but they didn't. It surprises me that they extended a year and probably a lot of cash for the feature.. when the playerbase is still 80 percent human or something...and the story was written with more specifics in mind at one point.

So I don't think anything would stop them from doing it in ME, if they felt like it.

Better hair options, why does everyone Bioware game suck with hair options. If not better hair options at least do mod support on consoles so we Console players don't have to suffer.

Adding to this, I would also like if they allowed the use of the color wheel for hair color.

I disagree. If the best person for the job wasn't human but an alien, Hackett would send the alien.

Sounds as bad as DAI.

Write a Chantry story. Make the new Messiah some random bum who doesn't give a **** about any of it necessarily! It's so clever and diverse. If only they could be overweight, while we're at it.

So you resort to personal insults when someone disagrees with you. Good to know. I'm done with you now.

It's not an insult. Pointing out someone's inability isn't an insult. If you're insecure enough to think of it as such, or maybe just desperate enough to try to use any opportunity to take the old ad hominem door out, then that's a different story.

This would only be the case if being non-human specifically benefitted the mission. All things being equal, the option would always be human, especially if the mission involves commanding an Alliance vessel. Hackett would never assign a turian or asari to command one of the Alliance's ships.

Ship customization would be cool. And not just decorating the interior or whatever. Having a sort of modular ship like the ISS but more futureful would be cool.

It's hard to think of things I'd want that weren't already done somewhere in DA. More variety in off-time dialogue/activities with companions, even to being able to play a game with companions rather than just passively observing like Shepard does with Kaidan and James. It's funny. Shepard plays a card game just once, and all you get is a text box saying you won some credits. Not much fun. Even the Warden got to play cards with someone, and even cheat if the stats permitted.

So sort of like the Kowloon-class and Athabasca-class starship freighters?

And depending on who we're doing it too, it could account for such a wide array of rp options.

I could dig it if we had that option during an actual combat scenario, where it's already life or death, especially if were fighting something huge and monstrous.

But I could also imagine a scene where it's just a minor villain threatening the protagonist with retribution at a later date. They're in the middle of a monologue about how no one crosses them, how they can find the protagonist anywhere, how they'll take away everything and everyone the protagonist values--

Bam. Whoosh.

Now that's a renegade I could enjoy playing.

That would probably end up like the renegade interrupt during Thane's recruitment mission, or the one with the Batarian mechanic. I've never not had Shepard throw that merc out the window or zap the mechanic with his tool. It's just too much fun.

An airlock interrupt would be a fun way to end a confrontation with one of the main villains. One of the only things Bioware got right about Kai Leng was giving the player a very satisfying and cinematic way to end him. More of that would be great.

There are aliens that live on Earth in the Mass Effect universe, just like there are humans who live on alien worlds, so that arc would still be there.

Watch the opening scenes of earth falling and tell me that makes sense as a Turian.

Is that why you imprisoned me on earth and took away my stolen cerberus ship?

You know that's not true. Any other Turian would have been tried court marshalled and discharged from the Turian military.

Proper zero-g sequences.

I fully support having the ability to toss undesirables out of the airlock. There's so many that will deserve it.

I think we're asking for Andromeda features not forum features.

This!

If part of that sequence involves some combat as well, like say on the outer hull of a ship, it could also be fun using biotics or concussive shot and the like to send mooks tumbling off into the void.

Even if there was no combat portion though, I think a Zero G space walk sequence could be very cool. The protagonist gets a jetpack now apparently, so why not use it in space?

Massive lore(story) hunting. I want a series of quests that involve lore digging, backstories hidden in every related item and every important dialog. A little like Dark Souls.

There are a few things I can think of at the moment:

  • Text chat for multiplayer
  • Co-op campaign mode
  • Female turian squadmate
  • Female krogan squadmate
  • Male quarian squadmate
  • Batarian squadmate
  • Jumping
  • Space combat

Pretty much this.
