D Dog slits throats with a knife. Dogmeat can't.

I win.

Yeah, between Dogmeat and D-Dog, D- Dog wins.

He operates knives, electric sticks, disarms fellas, follows specific orders (correctly) and goes in and out of the battlefield in a ballon. We also met him as a puppy. :)

Imortality is just not cool enough, in this case.

I'm flashing back to the people who thought the prequels were awesome when Yoda whipped out his lightsaber and started flipping around.

I'll stick with Dogmeat:

Yep. Starred in 4 Fallout games - that puppy transcends time and space. He's like a deity of being a loyal bro.

A Black Emporium-style mirror which we can use to edit our characters' appearance in-game. We already had a bathroom mirror in ME, just make it useable. It'd be perfect for our bathroom to finally have a real function. (Apart from flushing the toilet. Yay.)

Omg yes, seconded.  Restarting cause you just can't stand the derpy derpface you somehow created gets old.  Quick.

Every playthrough I run into the bathroom hoping there's something to do...but nope.  Just flushing the loo.

I've been hoping for there to be a place to go to adjust our appearance, like the Emporium, but I kind of love the idea of just being able to use our bathroom mirror. Admittedly it wouldn't be so great for pretense of realism, but it would be very convenient.

Perhaps on the main ship there can be a plastic surgeon place and that's where you go to change your appearance.

It's a bad idea to go for realism on this, otherwise you should get weird reactions from people that suddenly stopped recognizing you.

A mirror without any acknowledgment in lore as a game-y function is better in this case.

They allowed ONE EXCEPTIONALLY SKILLED cripple to perform tasks that wouldn't directly involve him in firefights on disease-ridden alien jungle planets and even then he kept his hair short.

He literally bangs the ship when no ones looking. And he's growing a hipster beard.

If the Pathfinder is an active member of Humanity's armed forces, he or she would be forced to comply with the grooming standards.

Hi, I'm Special Forces, have we met?

Ugh, yes, happens to me all the time. I blame the cc's lighting and partly my crappy character creation skills. Having different lighting options in the cc would be very welcome!

(Heh, I usually flush once or twice per playthrough as well. For good luck, eh?)

True, a magic mirror isn't very realistic, though I'm willing to sacrifice realism for such a useful feature  :)  Hanako's solution of having a plastic surgeon or some kind of machine would be good too. We can always explain it by, ehm.. space magic?

Has anyone mentioned competent politicians? If not, then that's my pick.

In addition, I'd like to see more varied fauna. For non-sapient organisms, the original ME trilogy had pyjaks, varren, thresher maws, and not much else. A bit more variety on this front would be really helpful in bringing the new setting to life.

Maybe bring gifts into ME series like from DAO but without the bagage that Origins Approval system was.

I think it sort of suspends ones disbelief.  I suggested a "show in cutscene" button in the CC to help prevent that.  I wouldn't be opposed to the mirror idea though for changing ones hairstyle or makeup...that would be a nice addition.

And zero reaction to change of one's gender doesn't suspend your disbelief? Really?

I remember there's birds in ME3's Citadel.

Would love more body types though. Its weird to see all Asari having the same body except for Samara, Liara and her mother... because.. bewbs...

I want Rivalry system.

What's a rivalry system? like the nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor?

No, more like Dragon Age. People don't need to be friends with you and they're free to hate you and leave you. They have their conversation sets that was unique to how you interact with them. This way, if you're mean, they will react to that with hostility instead of always loving you.

Oh, hmm, let me think....

Oh! A dashing, roguish villain as a potential LI.  ^_^ ...

I love it. Especially if he's a biotic.

Don't ask when why that's a prerequisite for me, I can't explain it. I just love biotics.

Alright, but something more though...lessee...

Tbh, I would welcome a playable backstory. It does not have to be hours long. Just 15 minutes, or so. Some kind of life and attachment for the PC outside of this organization.  Something with family, friends, a community. Then later you may run into them again. It's a great way to notice how you've really changed over time and adventures. Or notice how they've changed. Perhaps you're even on opposite sides now...of whatever.

Or you're still the best of friends, and it's just that you're able to talk to them in a different way than everybody else. Because they knew you before all this started.

But yeah, a playable prologue backstory with a life and attachments outside of the PathFinders.

I really love it. I've been rooting for the idea of a playable origin story for a while, especially if it involves the character who will become a primary antagonist at a later date.

It would really be cool to have an approval rating with the antagonist. They're opposing you for practical or ideological reasons, but the way they feel about you as their opponent can depend on the tone the interaction takes on early in the story.

Befriend antagonist win game before it unfolds... fist pumps!

Like if you don't act harsh and do action a,b or c  x,y and z will not occur during the game but possibily y if you did b? does that make sense?

That already happens in a sense with NPC relationships. I guess it would depend if the story is more personal with the antagonist? If they did that though I would still like the opportunity to squash the effect caused by earlier actions through some sort of skill system where if you have done d or e it won't matter that x and y are going to occur.

I read a few posts about wanting to throw an enemy out the airlock. I like for that to apply to squadmates as well or at least throw them off the ship while its docked.
