I guess cancer patients should be mocked because their bodies were weak enough to not be able to fight the illness by your logic? I thought we were past "men don't cry" age and "just get over it" when treating any psychological problems, do you think some people just choose to get depressed and get to the point of ending their lives? Or they simply deserve so because they were mentally weak?
Point is, their emotional issues are far too deep rooted if they're that affected by a lack of virtual self-insert in something as inconsequential and silly as a TPS like this game, and trying to pander to that fringe minority is a fool's errand that ultimately benefits nobody but those trying to virtue signal. They should seek proper help instead, not try to LARP/project into dopey fictional media.
To anyone who complains about exclusion of their 'identity' in anything, write your own game script and publish it on your own game commentary website to prove everyone else is pin-headed- and make a whole lot of money for yourself. If it gains traction from gamers, then you'll have all the financial and resource backing you need to produce your own game.
If you're not willing to make personal effort and sacrifice to effect change.....
