I wonder whether they'll even have a default this time around, or whether they'll go the DA:I route and just have a couple presets. The presets in DA:I were just as detailed as the two default Shepards in ME3. The biggest issue with the CC in the Shepard trilogy was that anything created in the CC looked more plastic and less detailed than Sheploo, but that's not likely to be an issue with Andromeda's CC. There may no longer be a need for a default.

This might depend on the marketing campaign more than anything else.

I assumed we'd get a hi-res version if the classic femShep, the face you see if you google femShep and click on images.  She's accurate to the majority of femSheps out there.  Instead we get a puffy, over made up 'who the hell is that??'

 

I mean no offense to women, but to me default ME3 female Shepard, looked 50-60yo. Shepard is only... 29 in ME, 31 by ME2, so about 32-33 in ME3. That's still young, especially if humans can live an extra 20 years, at 120.

well... Default FemShep and Ashley are plain ugly in ME3. But it was mostly due to the texture and the bad makeup they pile on them. Like someone attempting My Boyfriend Does My Makeup... 

 

Jack actually have the same makeup theme as Default FemShep but it work for Jack because her features is feminine (like Natalie Portman) while DefaultFemShep have strong eyebrows, strong facial structure and strong lips which makes her look rather awful with goth makeup. Ashley and Yvonne Strahovski both have strong facial features which is why minimal makeup suits them the most. Liara did have makeup issues too, its like someone smudge a crayon eyeliner on her, making her look panda-eyed. 

 

There's nothing wrong with your kick ass CGI character to wear makeup but as in real life, makeup are supposed to make you feel good and look good. I like my FemShep with heavy eyeliner and smokey eyes because in real life, I do exactly that and its pretty low maintenance too. FemShep doesn't look like she care about touching up. She's more like a lipbalm person and heavy eye makeup is practical for someone with sleep-deprivation but need to be outdoors all the time and don't like it when people say "you look tired today". 

 

Besides, VanderlooShep is always prettier than everyone. He's a supermodel.

I would like to ask for completely unique character creator.

Meaning only you get that hair/cosmetics and etc. without encountering every 2nd NPC that looks like your clone.

However this is dream of mine, oh well.

 

Still back to topic.

If there is some "special preset" then yes I would like to modify it however I wish....
