That was probably my biggest WTF in gaming. I thought that was the "Give me a real reward" option rather than the "I'm OK to have sex with you, alien geisha who has no respect for personal space."

Not sure what's wrong with Anders, when there are many females in Bioware games hitting on the protagonist before. The only problem I have with that part was that we couldn't let him down easily and he does it right after his lover just died. It's interesting for characters like Isabela and Anders to have their own personality and initiate dialogue instead of just waiting for the player to pop the question.
to mirror real life combat effectiveness, mood, and overall morale for the team should improve after too.

I don't see it at all. There's nothing hidden about his interest in you, he comes right out with it. And of course he's not happy about being rejected but so what? The few points you lost there you can make up later, if you care about such a thing.

I don't recall an option with Anders where picking it cuts away to a sex scene.

sorry, what I wrote wasn't clear : For now I don't see any "hidden" LI comments (still playing the game, 1st playthrough, and I don't plan to have a LI with him anyways, then I will certainly miss some dialogues), the thing is Anders starts (like Isabella) to poke you just after your recruit him and it's a bit too much. He's very insistent. I'm ok to have some characters making the first step, it's a very good idea. But on DA2 for Anders or Isabella it's too fast, personal opinion... (for Isabella, it's a less shocking, she has a really "bad girl" side, but Anders... ) You don't know them, they don't know you. So, this situation reminds me of what happened with Sha'ira, it's so fast you don't really see where it's coming from. Hope it's clearer

Let me get this straight: You're accusing the OP on the basis of what you saw posters saying in another thread? As far as I can tell, the original post doesn't attack anyone, but you have made multiple overt accusations regardless. With threads like this one, no wonder why CD's fanbase calls everything Bioware does childish and for people who are stuck in fairytales, and to think I used to defend BSN.
It's sickening really. People go through their lives so light hearted and joking all the time. It's like GET A CLUE!
I think I will join CD's forum and start laughing with everyone there about how people that play our game are cool and mature and people to play these games aren't. And we can all laugh and poke fun. It will be so awesome. I'm out noobs.
There are some really weird people here for sure. I would never deny that. These romance threads will leave you in awe some times. Every group has that though.
