If you are a rouge the daggers looks like normal swords

Yeah that staff is like a lollipop and it's bigger than your head. That's a bit extreme.
But I still like staffs ![]()
What staff IS that ? I don't think I've ever gotten it.

Neither have I and I've never had cutscene like that either where your weapons get in the way

I found the schematic in the Black emporium, but isn't the only staff that looks weird in the cut scenes.
"Archon Fire Staff"
Sure why not.
Although I prefer my longswords long and thick.
Wonder what you're compensating for.

All the short daggers that I've seen drop recently. They don't have good penetration values.

I wish they tone down the size of the weapons in all RPGs not just the DA series.

I realized that you are creating posts and topics with sexual context... Like all the time.
It's not tinder.
I thought they did a good job with the iconic imagery, like the Quizzy greatsword in the ads/coronation, or Cass' starting Inquisition longsword.
But you can't even get schematics for stuff like that. There's a bunch of cartoony weapons instead (not so much with other longswords though). And then the DLCs lack down to earth Inquisition items to boot. Not even the luxury of adding this stuff later. It's just a bunch of avvar/dwarven/qunari ****. That sums up the whole game for me really. If there's a way to be bombastic and childish, this game will do that instead.

You know, one good thing about the blight sex is how it bring people togheter.

Gods, you're tiresome, aren't you?
I would love to see realistically proportioned weapons in a game for once along with spears and other pole-arms actually getting used and not only by enemies. It get especially annoying when you run into enemies that get use such weapons and you don't.

To be honest if someone is going to complain about Dragon Age, the least they can do is have a sense of humor about it.

Spears and polearms would require a different set of abilities and very different animations for every single ability. They are held differently than swords, axes, and maces.
I'd like it too, but I don't think it's entirely feasible. especially when even some current animations feel weird with certain weapons.
We don't want another "maul poke" like in Dragon Age 2. I laughed when Aveline when I saw Aveline stabbing with the mace.
Personally I'm fine with the enemy having access to certain abilities we don't. It makes for far more interesting encounters.
Well medieval to early modern staffs and pole-arms were held in similar to each other and staffs were indeed often used to train in the beginning forms for pole-arms .
Still your likely right given modern graphics so far can't seem to show the proper wielding of one or two handed swords much less axes, maces and shields for that matter though at least thrusting with a mace was something I have heard of being done though it was not its primary use and not likely something that would do much damage against a armored target.
All of this wouldn't be a problem if they simply had more weapon, smithing, or history geeks. I think fantasy games are often more filled with people who are more fascinated with magic though. Film crews and novels are filled with them. Games not so much.

Well Dragon Age has never one for realistic portrayal of weapon combat. Even melee fighting has fantasy elements. Look at the rogue's shadow dancing and the warrior's earth-shattering slams ![]()

I'd love for Dragon Age to improve their weapon combat. They got the magic casting pretty well in DAI. Perhaps they can focus on melee combat a little more in the next one. Archery needs a little work too. I found it to be dull in comparison.
