Well Dragon Age has never one for realistic portrayal of weapon combat. Even melee fighting has fantasy elements. Look at the rogue's shadow dancing and the warrior's earth-shattering slams
Oh, I know. The warrior is particularly stupid. It was slightly better in DAO/DAA though (but not necessarily gameplay wise).
