Passive agressive Bioware. Hires Baldwin, but has him play Vorcha or Elcor. Yes please!

An Adam Baldwin voiced Vorcha companion would be pretty sweet.

He was implying 'this leads to that' in one way or another.

Either he meant legally, in which case no, he's just stupid because incest is still illegal, just like a guy couldn't marry his sister or mother before the SS marriage ruling.

Or he meant based on the moral arguments people make for SS marriage, going off the preferred definition of marriage as 'two consenting adults,' which does not seem to technically preclude incest between adults unless you play with the definition of 'consent.'

Or he is just against any sort of 'redefinition,' because then why not redefine it to include incest or marrying your horse?

In any case, leaving aside whether the second or third points have merit, if he was making either of those, his comments were not being 'taken out of context,' regardless of your feelings about Huffington Post in general.

Though the hilarious thing about the legality arguments is that you got dudes marrying their pillows.

On topic, Shiii- one Baldwin isn't enough. Bio should hire the whole family.

Or maybe he read things on "liberal" sites like Salon trying to normalize things like incest and paedophilia (look it up), and being a republican mistakenly attributes those feelings to all liberals?

I still don't see why I should care about Manveer one way or another, or any random voice actor's politics.

If Baldwin had a more creatively involved role like say OSC writing those Dragon Age comics, then that might be more upsetting. But then that gets into the whole OSC thing, and he is still a widely-renowned author, so that is also not entirely straight-forward.

Yeah I still think real SJWs are the closest to real world super-heroes as you can get.

Until you trigger them with an opinion, then they go all super-villain. :)

Lol at Fluffpost being a "respectful source". They're well known for putting out clickbait trash.

So is Fox News, Breitbart, and Newsmax.  Sad state of media.

Breitbart has top notch coverage of the european economic migrant issue. They're alright.

They also covered the cologne incident which SJWs tried to downplay since it clashes with their politically correct ideology. :)

It's best to read both right and left leaning news sites, the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

No because he's like the Jon Snow of the Baldwins.

Amusing to see them defend and cover up actual "rape culture" to say the least. Fortunately though, various folks have made a turn around on the issue and have come around to recognize what I and others have been saying all along as legit.

One should remain critical of what they read/hear, even if from a site that supports their belief system at the very least.

Well damn, I didn't know any of this. Maybe it's better, if you enjoy an actor's work, to know diddly squat about them irl.

Still enjoyed him as Kal'Reeger tho

Yeah, we enjoyed Kal'Reegar and Animal Mother. I have to vote no for him. They always say "it was taken out of context."

Rule - with social media, make sure you proof read it and that it says what you want it to say before you hit "Send". If it doesn't, don't hit "send." "Send" is forever. We can only assume you meant what you wrote.

Or perhaps attempt to read the entire context offered elsewhere, go to original source if available, etc.

We've had this with professional athletes using social media. Like a professional golfer getting his butt in trouble for making misogynistic comments on twitter. Then getting into hot water about it, coming back and saying he was drunk and didn't mean it. Then doing the same thing again a month later. Which am I to believe?

Social media is not the place for expressing deep thoughts. It's for garbage thoughts and telling people you took the dog out to poop. If you have deep thoughts write an essay and post it in a blog or something.

No problem here; don't use social media myself. But when keeping up with some others, using Twitter can help keep up with folks, info, etc. This is why there are Twitter threads posted on the forums.

Still, basing an opinion on second hand sources or worse is unwise, esp when the original source is available.

I try not to follow the social or political leanings of actors, writers, or other entertainers.  As long as they don't bring it into the their work, I don't care what they think.  I don't require a political litmus test to entertain me.

I don't get that either. What does an actor's political beliefs have to do with their acting ability? I also don't need to like artists or actors to enjoy their work.

The only time I'd support blacklisting is if the person has done done something truly heinous, like for example Roman Polanski...but saying stupid or offensive things on Twitter hardly qualifies as heinous.

People on both ends of the political spectrum also need to give the crocodile tears and manufactured outrage a rest.
