I just uploaded a vid including the portion where Shepard, Brooks and squadmate enter the casino during the Citadel DLC and it now has a copyright notification for the music playing during that section. This hasn't happened to me previously when I have had vids that include that section.

1) has anyone else recently uploaded this section to youtube and gotten this notice?

2) the notice says that the copyright holder reserves the right to place ads. Is this something I should worry about?

3) should I file a dispute?

If i recall correctly. you can file a dispute if you believe the content doesnt belong to the copyright holder youtube has listed, sometimes the content ID system is waaay off base, i've filed a few myself for tracks from the games that YouTube said belonged to some company or whatever, and having searched up the company/person mentioned, discovering they dont hold the rights to the content, and so a dispute can be filed for stuff like that.

Hope that helps!

How can I search for whether the company listed holds the copyright? (I would think that Bioware held the copyright.)

For now I have used youtube's "delete track" function to get rid of the music.

YouTube should tell you who's made the claim and what the name of the content that has been identified is, so i would just search that name, plus the content name and see what came up, if i could find absolutely nothing about it, i would dispute the claim, stating that i firmly believed the person making the copyright claim was not the original owner but also that the content was used fairly anyway, that no profit is being made and that BioWare/EA allow for game videos/streams of their games to be uploaded to YouTube without risk of any sort of penalty/infraction. (Last i checked BioWare/EA still allow this, so i imagine that covers all game content, including music.).  So far each time i've done this, whoever it is making the copyright claim ends up dropping it. I suspect that people are doing these to try and gain money from it, but when someone fights back and disputes, the claim is dropped.

I've seen other ME related videos that have had music removed so you are not alone in that regard.
