Well I've got the feeling that even a talon GI will have trouble outscoring a venom valkyrie
Hmmm I don't know about that. A well played talon GI I'm sure will always be superior

You'd go as far and body-block the shots? THAT is try hard.
I don't know if you're serious OP, but there is a large gulf of difference between a "tryhard" as it's commonly understood, and someone who gives honest effort every game and fully commits to improving their skillset...
I have a similar question, maybe a little more specific: how big a role does kit play in scoring, in ME3MP?
I consider myself an intermediate-grade player -- I try to keep moving and looking around, try to have a useful role in missions, I never camp the extraction zone or glom up onto every piece of cover I find, etc. -- but am nearly always in 4th place on Gold games. Score for its own sake doesn't matter to me too much, but I'm starting to worry that people might think of me as some sort of a leech.
Thanks in advance,
Darth
GI Harrier
in old days It was blasphemy use that, I still remember people reporting me for cheating when Space Magic
was forbidden, what a good times ñ_ñ
Just did 2 GI Harrier1 on PS3, but with lvl.1 consumables. Fun because fat Collector heads save on a ton of ammo. Still took many ammo box runs to clean 2 possessed Praetorians on wave 10 though.

cierto loko that praetorians encabronados are very tough even with lvl 4 consumables and GI harrier

Some kits tend to score more than others, such as by using AOE primers (like Paladin Sentinel with Snap Freeze or Human Adept with Singularity), and scores can always be inflated by spamming grenades/missiles. Ultimately, though, the scoreboard is irrelevant and you should probably just ignore it and continue to play the game however you like.
The person who scores 40k in gold but did all the objectives and used equipment appropriately (such as medigels) is better at the game and less of a leecher than the dingus who scores 200k but ignored objectives.

If you're effectively detonating combos, priming and/or debuffing bosses, and just being a thoughtful participant overall...that stuff should stick out to any rational & competent player more than just score.

Scoring high, doing objectives and reviving aren't always mutually exclusive
Unless the player's primary concern is scoring high. Then yes...they are always mutually exclusive.
Well I'm not good with it, but the GI/Venom in practiced hands, I think, may actually be the most powerful GI. It certainly is the king vs non bosses
I've for the most part played with those who always scored very high and did everything else too.Unless the player's primary concern is scoring high. Then yes...they are always mutually exclusive.

Exactly. Good players who regularly & effectively contribute...they do it all (I'd bet that includes about everybody here, in fact).
Then there are the squids overly concerned about watching the scoreboard standings. We're all too familiar with that breed.
Well, that's the thing -- score-jerks walk among us for sure, but the players I'm comparing myself with are great team players. They're just better at this than me, and/or have better weapons & equipment.
I'll go back to trying to be the best Darth Elmo I can be, irrespective of the scoreboard. :-)
P.S. to Mr. Halen: I'm all about the combo effects. Love those booms!

Inorite?
Being the detonator is always more visceral and enjoyable to me than being the primer. And I really don't give 2 wet shites if the primer gets the killfeed credit.
2be honest, I do check the scoreboard every 2-3 waves..I use that as an indicator on how much I am contributing to that game.. I know how much I can score and what I am capable of scoring.. I like to maintain a certain pace..so if my score isn't where I know it should be around..then I know I should step it up a notch..as far as reviving and objectives I always do the objective...by myself if need be..as far as revives...We all know it depends on the situation...if you are near me..no problem..if you are on the other side of the map and there are 5-6 enemies between us...then that person might have to gel or just sit out the rest of that round... as far as a "try hard" ..that is a subjective term...the better players can combine all these aspects I have talked about into their gameplay and still top score in-stride with how they have been playing
