Can nothing tame you? I just gave it to a TGI with a stability mod..NOTHING..still same spread...I was 3 feet from a phantom and half the shots missed. I admit..after over 3,500 hours ( yeah, I said it) on xbox..there are still combos / things I never really tried..Now I am 110 hours into my PS3 adventure...and I am trying out stuff...What do you do with the Revenant? Do you even like it? Is it possible to lessen the spread ( LOL PC mustard race using their Shotgun Smart Choke on it)...also, (Inb4 it was better in ME2) <---cuz..It was..I remember using it for the ArchAngel mission and killing enemies across from Garrus' apartment...Also..what mods / Gear do you use with it?
Damn you Revenant.......

You can do what most of my batarian characters do with it when it doesn't work properly. Smash it over enemy heads. I put a recoil dampener on it really. Maybe a stability mod too depending on what character is using it. Obviously the recoil will be more when it is lower level.

I played the TGI/revenant just a couple of days back but I didn't have too much trouble with it. Then again, I used hard cover pretty much all the time to reduce the spread a bit.
Hitting enemies far away is obviously difficult with it but I was able to hit enemies at a pretty good range. I was able to reliably hit enemies across Giant (I know it's not the biggest map but just to give an idea). Also, with the TGI you can pop a stim pack if needed, do a forward dodge and you should be able to get closer to the enemy (that's what I did when hard cover wasn't an option).
Revenant + Extended Mag + Extended Barrel. Stabilization module and barrage upgrade. AP Ammo. It fades in comparison to Typhoon, PPR, Harrier etc but it's not bad. And it's not nearly as good as the ME2 variant.

Stability mods don't increase accuracy they just decrease the upward pull of guns.
With the Revenant I'll use the GE/GT/GI or the 2 marksman kits, and just shoot without zooming in.

Its accuracy is worse than its stability. If you've got a self-loathing feeling going on you can put a scope on it.
Most of the times that I use it is on the Juggernaut to pretend that I'm playing something out of ME2. Then I slap on some incendiary ammo, spam siege pulse, and delude myself into thinking that the Rev is doing something productive.

I basically don't use it unless it is on an accuracy boosting character. TSol is ideal since you can buff accuracy and recoil.
Although some find it annoying, the AR Scope does in fact increase the accuracy (I used to run it on Revi way back when, and on GI). Had various people at the time say all kind of ridiculous things about it in PUGs, and or try to vote to kick. This was of course the real old days (2012).

Just for testing reasons, I modded the weapon to
min-max zoom: 0.6-1.2
recoil: 0.28
zoom recoil: 041
Rof: 850 (soulds awesome)
...and Typhoon still beats the crap out of it, especially vs armor. The weapon can't be saved at all, and it should be on par with the Claymore/Widow, dammit.

Yeah, needs more base damage to compete with Typhoon defense multipliers.
Revenant with ROF boost does sound awesome, should have been like it is under Marksman at base. ![]()

Try Destroyer of worlds. Aka, best accuracy boosting class for Revenant. Otherwise try any Batarian, Jetpack Turian, Jug, or Volus for best alternatives. Because movement speed alone makes the biggest difference for Revenant, Striker and Spitfire; http://forum.bioware...es-and-classes/
Yes, these are your best options for Revenant, Striker and Spitfire. Trust me.

1. Use incendiary ammo.
2. Use the assault rifle stability/recoil/whatever mod. Barrage upgrade is NOT mandatory for this weapon no matter what people who used it a single time say.
3. Alternate between bursts and concussive shots and watch as everything is either blown up, knocked down or staggered into oblivion. Crowd control is the key word here.
4. Use adrenaline rush to boost your damage and unload on large enemies or groups stuck in a funnel. You're not gonna need that many headshots when you're raining flaming bullets. Besides, in those scenarios the headshots will come just from the sheer amount of projectiles you're sending out.
That's it. It really is that simple. People might have better luck using it if they'd remember that it's not a friggin sniper rifle. If a weapon refuses to fire with pinpoint accuracy then stop trying to make it fire with pinpoint accuracy. Take advantage of it's spread, fire rate and generous ammo to set everything on fire and then blow them up. The revenant's not a top tier weapon but it IS pathetically simple to use if you're not afraid of a little kick.
Is the typhoon better at straight-up killing stuff than the revenant? Absolutely. But the revenant does have two significant advantages over it nonetheless. It's not THAT heavy and it doesn't have the annoying windup that the typhoon has, both of which make it mesh very well with soldiers who still use their powers frequently.
And before some cretin comes along and says "herp derp just use something else that can do the same job better", keep in mind that the man was very specifically asking how to make the revenant work.

I actually like using it on my Krogan, since I get close enough to the target that the hilariously bad accuracy doesn't matter anymore.

My favourite kit for the Revenant is the Quarian marksman, because being able to dodge compensates for the slower movement speed while firing, and of course the marksman ability. I still have to try on Geth kits, though. For me, the spread and the lack of damage are the real issue, and both are counteracted by marksman.

It is not bad on TGI but to reliably hit things, you either have to stay in hard cover or use the scope.

Turian stability passive does not work if you were off host and the last one joined. Maybe you should take this into account too.

I've been wondering about this assault rifle since it's pretty much a spread bullets all around type of gun. I'm useless when it comes to aiming in PC so I'm wondering if this rifle will work to my advantage. Can it work like other non aiming kind of gun?
That's what I do with the Revenant, I just hipfire it like rambo, & spam powers, no need for stability at that point.
