Does it have reduced damage for no-scoping?

It deals 75% of normal damage while hip firing it.

So a smaller penalty compared to some of the other rifles.

Okay thanks. Are there any spreadsheets or anything like that with all the essential info on guns and buggy abilities etc.?

That's the sheet I put together on all the stats on weapons. It's a bit of a wall of numbers, but it's got everything there.

There's also the MP Resource Library at the top of these forums with lots of useful links to other stuff that myself and others have created.

It's still unbelievable how they made no scope have a damage penalty.

Are you saying it's not obvious that the position of your eye affects the energy transfer of the projectile?  :P

It's probably my least used gun and I love the sniper rifles.

But I tried it once and didn't like it.

^ It's actually a very fun gun. Speaking of which, it should it should be finally at level X for me since I've maxed all my Rare weapon card on PC already. Should bring it out next time I play. Incindiary ammo, of course.

DAI is an amazing fit to this weapon. The gun hits hard in short bursts and he's fast, so dive in, cloak-shoot dodge out. His animation when firing is weird but you get used to it after a couple waves. Geth Scanner helps, Incendiary Ammo is incomparable on the CSR, and I spec out of Homing nades because their slowness doesn't fit with his rapid style.

Thanks ! Isn't it completely unplayable like the ppr or the lancer on a drell ?

The height change glitch in the animation only affects your view of your character, so if you focus solely on the target you will stop even noticing it after a few waves. Even I am able to do well with this setup on Gold. It's probably a scrub build, but here's mine:

http://kalence.drupa...53N55364!E.EAGK

I skip Homing nades, as I said, because their slow launch animation exposes him to fire for too long. They're better on the other characters, notably the SaboTurian. Also, this way he never needs to visit the ammo crates and can spend the time hunting down enemies.

As you see, a quick 10-round burst with the CSR is doing about 3k damage under cloak, nearly 4k if the target is being scanned by RM. And you can normally fire 2 quick bursts within the cloak bonus window. Mooks die to a quick HS - most times a bodyshot + the IA DoT will kill them - and the high RoF of the CSR destroys shields rapidly.

I think the CSR synergizes well with the DAI because it will only fire a quick burst or two before overheating, and the DAI can get in, fire one or two bursts, and get out really fast. Of course the gun works on any Infiltrator, he's the one that has the nervous playstyle that matches the neurotic nature of the CSR.

Like with all Drell, just don't ever get hit. But you have TC and speed to help with that.

EDIT: I derped and put the CSR in at level 1 originally, fixed it to level 10 - thanks Loufi :)

Watch for yourself:

  • Drell characters - unable to use Collector Sniper Rifle and Particle Rifle.  When using these rifles, your aim will be recalibrated to a lower height (i.e. Volus) and aim down at the floor.  Cover firing can help avoid the glitch.  Drell Video.

Watch for yourself:

Actually, the camera first moves down, while the reticle stays where it was targeted initially, at least for the first second. With the PPR it's a problem because of the ramp up and long firing cycle, but with the CSR it's not, because you need to have released the trigger before the reticle shifts anyway - otherwise it will have overheated.

I like the Huntress presented by Bwnci:

http://kalence.drupa...34B55384!E9CE3K

and how to do it:

https://www.youtube....h?v=hQjsM2YOvLs

Fits very well.

Do you Power Thing as usual: cloak, throw your power, scope and shoot by tapping, ... Repeat.

Or the Sal Inf, ED for shield stripping and easy headshots, PM for boss debuff;

Also this gun w/ Incendiary ammo has insane DPS vs. red/yellow bars.

As you see, a quick 10-round burst with the CSR is doing about 2.5k damage under cloak, over 3k if the target is being scanned by RM. And you can normally fire 2 quick bursts within the cloak bonus window. Mooks die to a quick HS - most times a bodyshot + the IA DoT will kill them - and the high RoF of the CSR destroys shields rapidly.

It could be even more if you had a better manifest Mark, with a CSR level 10.  ;) Just teasing you a little here, I agree with all you said and use the same 60666 build for the DAI with CSR, with minor differences. An other argument in favor of using this weapon on the drell infiltrator is that, given how small its clip is, you want each bullet to hit as hard as possible. So using it on a character with tactical cloak (with a sniper damage bonus at rank 6), great passives and a debuff makes perfect sense.

I also agree that the camera bug isn't too annoying with the CSR.  About ammo, I find that incendiary rounds dominate all the other ones on this weapon.

An other character I like the CSR on is the QMI. Quick burst -Arc Grenades for fire explosion, quick burst... However, the player needs to be even more careful with the overheating, because using a thermal clip while the grenades count is at its max is a very bad feeling.  ^_^ According to what I've been told, of course.

Yes, he's probably the best kit in the game for it, and the FQI and vanilla human infiltrators can put it to great effect as well.

Any one with Incindiary cheese. Used it twice yesterday on a 66653 (recharge on Armour and 4b in passives) 9 nade CyclonicMod4 KroSent tank wonder yesterday. Just toss some Incinerate in between tap shots (you don't even have to be scoped), and enjoy a fire explosion or cheese or both. If you see a group of mooks, nade one first > some spam shots to light them up > Incinerate fire explosion.

If you overheat, strike a rambo pose in the middle of the and eat some healthy ops if needed.

You still don't have to worry about going to ammo boxes with 9 nades and 6 clip packs. Unless you really like spamming them that much.

I also like the Particle Rifle best on the KroSent because of Incindiary cheese/fire explosion with tankyness and some stagger resistance too.

Used it once on a Volgineer purely for challenge points, and it's become one of my favorites. Go for headshots, and the little guys drop in a couple of clicks, while the double debuff means Inc ammo annihilates anything yellow.

^ Since you said Volus, that reminds it works great with Stasis mook sniping too. Only for this setup you don't tap it. Just hold it on a headshot burst for crazy spike dmg that drops all.

Save the taps for bosses.

PPS - Incindiary ammo I think is still prefered (I've only ever tried this weapon with this ammo. Need to try Amour maybe later today for comparison), as I think the crazy fire rate of CRS actually causes the Incidiary ammo to stack glitch too.
