I didn't say that Titan Fall or SW:BF were failures but I have no incentive to play them because everybody that is still playing them is so ahead of me that it wouldn't be fun for me to play and if I were still a PC gamer it would be the same Counter-Strike or League of Legends.
League of Legends actually offers pretty powerful champions for cheap prices you can quickly get as a new player, and starting out you'll play against bots in a co-op mode. Even once you move into full PvP, you obviously aren't being matched up with the top tier players.
Counter-Strike doesn't even have an unlock system except for cosmetic skins and tons of noob friendly servers.
Hell even Titanfall didn't have a bad system, as the guns you start with are still strong and can easily hold their own against the unlocked stuff(which takes very little time to unlock). The problem with that game is that it offered an embarrassingly little amount of content.
I can't speak for Battlefront but my understanding is that it suffers the same problem as Titanfall. That and insane amounts of content that previous Battlefront games had is missing.
No PvP game is going to be around as long as League and especially Counter-Strike without a solid strategy for bringing new players into the game.
