I hope multiplayer is paramount.

What's wrong with being a PC gamer?

As for the general topic, what's actually being asked for here? More of the same? I thought ME3MP worked out OK. (Don't know myself. No interest, never played.)

Multiplayer is fine, and I love me some krogan battle goodness, but I don't think that it will ever be the heart of this franchise, nor do I think it should ever be. It's useful to extend the overall life of the game though.

When Bioware was single player focused, their games were mediocre at best. Knights of the Old Republic? Mass Effect 1 and 2? Dragon Age Origins? No one liked those. I doubt anyone on the planet even played them. Bioware's reputation in the industry was terrible when they made games like that. It' only since they've started courting multiplayer gamers that they've produced such well loved classics as The Old Republic, Mass Effect 3, and Dragon Age Inquisition. Their reputation has never been better.

Two questions: What is air like on your planet? Because you clearly haven't been on Earth for very long have you?

Because BioWare BUILT it is reputation on STORY BASED SINGLE PLAYER GAMES like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins all of which were huge sellers and without those games no one would be here and many consider those above mentioned games considered modern classics by many people. If their reputation has went down it was when they started courted the MP crowd.

I've talked about it in another thread and I don't feel like repeating myself.

No, I know for a fact that you would probably win. Your gender to me is irrelevant. I've been beaten by female players and I've beaten female players.

But if you simply MUST know fine I will tell you: on my good days (like today) I have very strong distrust of humanity in general or simply put I learned a LONG time that I work better and faster alone. Every time I worked with a group (which how BW does it's MP) it causes not only me, but others nothing but grief and is in just a waste of everybody's time. I have little patience to put up with the toxic waste one has to put up with in PvP games as well and it doesn't matter if it's XBL, PSN, or on PC if I want to listen douchebags I'll listen to the US DemocraticPresidential candidates.

Heh solo for life baby!!! I just hope the loooovely cooperative people don't expect me to fish them out of a dicey situation during a zombie apocalypse. I walk alone and I'd incap people to serve as zoombie distraction while I ride off into the sunset laughing my candy bum off.

Don't feed the troll.

You goofs almost had me about the lone wolf thing, until I realized how much of drama queens you are :)
No?
You are here posting your lunacy.

SP is for overly dramatic people who can only press one button. MP is where all the funs at ;)

I like single player and multi-player. What's wrong with y'all?

I do think a great multi-player is essential though. It will bring in new Mass Effect fans. New fans= more Mass Effect games.

Since I'm no longer a PC Gamer (THANK GOD!) and have no love for FPS, why should I waste my money and more importantly my time on a product that has done very little to encourage me to give a chance. You tried and I appreciate it but the truth is that I'm loner with too disdain for much of gamer culture that even if I were a PC gamer and fan of FPS *shudders* and MMOs (or whatever genre League of Legends is in), it wouldn't be fun for me or anybody else.

The games do what they can to make it easy on new players. You can't really ask them to do a whole lot beyond that. Games like Mass Effect also do very little to encourage you to try it beyond basic advertising, but things like story mode help new players who may not be very good at cover based shooters.

Also, you may not like FPS as a genre which is fair enough if that's not your thing but what's wrong with the FPS community? Many of us on these boards come from it, myself included.

There is going to be both.

Most of us hope that both are really good.

One will have no effect on the other, certainly not budget or quality wise.

As for MP I just hope they realize what was good and bad regarding ME3mp and DAIMP and actually pick the good elements for ME4MP.  I have low confidence in this however.  I'll say one thing, it had better be more stable than DAIMP, and I'm saying this as a person who has played it a ton.  Worst game I have ever played for any length of time stability wise. Rather atrocious actually.

It's really not a competition. The two are mutually beneficial.

I knew I had seen your name high on the leader boards.

It's weird with DAMP, because I still play it sometimes, but I don't really actually like it very much. They made some bad decisions with the design. Excitement wise it's such a huge step down from MEMP it's bizarre.

Well, I think that if they included dragons in DAMP from the get go, it would be a whole lot more popular.  I also think that procedurally generated maps didn't help much either.  Let people get used to the maps, then increase difficulty.  Not both at the same time.

The game was also less stable than ME3 MP was at launch, which is already saying a fair bit.

They really need to work on their netcode.

Different engine though.   FB3 vs. Unreal.  DAMP I don't think ever gave out on me, of course, I may be the exception or I'm possibly just remembering it wrong.

Although we do have to give them some credit.  You could leech and troll on ME3MP and there was nothing the team could do about it until the game was over.  Come DAMP you can now kick during the game.

In ME3 if you want to join friends in another room you have to accept the invite and then for whatever insane reason the game has to quit all the way back out of the entire multiplayer and back to the main menu of the game with single player and options and extras and then load the multiplayer back up and put you in that lobby ONLY after you have select what character you are going to play before you even enter the room and know what everyone else is playing.....LOL.

They fixed that in DAMP too.

Now they only need to fix the constant disconnects and reduce the lag and the game might even be playable.

The dragon maps made things way more interesting, true. I rarely want to even do any of the other maps.

I envy you. For a while there it was more likely to kick me out of the lobby than not. That problem is mostly gone now, but it was too little too late for a lot of players. The improvements came after they'd already given up.

Hahaha... I admit, that was a good one!

I suppose that now I should tell you that you your pictures are not worthy.

Bunz is a MP beast for real though.  We wrecked shop a few times when he was able to log on.  He definitely plays because I just happened to run into him randomly 1 night pugging.

Bioware would be crazy making a poor multiplayer and losing a staple of the community like that.  SP gamers will come to know and love him as well.  A few selfie posts and their hearts will melt.
