That MP isn't required, learn how to interpret.Mass Effect 3 did have it and it was a great seller. So your point was what again?

Weird as this may sound... I think the big part of ME3MP being as successful as it was lays in the fact that the whole damn thing was pretty much an afterthought. They threw something together and, amazingly enough, it worked out well. Like, really, really... really well. But there weren't many plans for it. It was like winning a lottery. And you don't win a lottery twice in a lifetime.
That's why I'm not holding my hopes up for Andromeda MP. The pressure is on and I don't think this pressure will do them good. Frankly, I don't even plan on buying Andromeda, neither for MP or SP content. But I will check out the boards to see if my predictions came true.

Seriously. I don't like MP, and I never will. Don't care if some people prefer MP, and am mystified at the capacity of certain individuals to turn petty crap into a huge dong-measuring contest.
I can almost guarantee you that MP will be in the game in some form, because ME3MP was so fun/addicting. Also, because it helps them to organize the SP. In other words, if they have an enemy that they wanna toss in, but aren't sure of how many HP to give it... They toss it over to MP -- Have their own quality control people give them feedback. They do this with just about all enemies.
They did it like this with DAIMP and ME3MP, the only thing was that ME3MP was such a hit within their offices, they decided to polish it and release it.
Different players like different things. We all want fun games, but we don't agree about what aspects of the games are fun.

If bioware wants to make money, they should put some time into the DLC and make the MP better.

Indeed Bioware's main strength is in SP so if they ditched that and focussed on MP they'd get little or no money out of Andromeda as I know I wouldn't buy it if it ended up that way and there's plenty of others who'd likely follow suit. I'm pretty suer it won't happen though. They may have made some story element mistakes over the past couple of games or so but in general I'd say it hasn't really affected the overall quality of the gameplay though.

I'm with Sharp. I might well borrow it at some point to check it out, but I'm most likely not going to spend a dollar on ME:A if the singleplayer turns out to be lackluster. "Devoted fanbase" really isn't the same thing as "a bunch of chumps who'll buy everything you make no matter how crap it is", and if it's treated as such then it won't be devoted for long.
Good to hear the last few posts. After what happened with DA: I and how they treated the last gen players I am in that same boat. Still remain hopefull the game is a homerun though.
