I like Destiny's character creation screen.
I do not know what makes it stand out from other creation screens in other games, but for some reason, Destiny's is easy to work with. However you do the character creation, BioWare, make it easy like Destiny's creation screen.
The actual interface is nice and I like the modeling, but it's very limited on the options for the face, since it's strictly presets with no way to change anything but the colors.
I did like Destiny's character creation, but my Warlock ended up looking like he was a Swedish Supermodel, and I agree the lack of variation wasn't that great - but in Destiny it didn't matter all that much.
I think DA:I's has been the best so far because with a little bit of patience and fiddling, I've been able to make characters that look like the could be actual people and they don't perturb me in the way that Mass Effect custom MSheps did. Although one thing I'd like to add to it is clearer notification of what I'm editing, quite a few features I could move the slider from one end to the other without seeing any noticeable difference in what was changing.
I've always quite liked how the Sims handled creation in the sense you could have completely made face pre-sets to choose from, but then could go on to select pre-sets of specific features. Like say for example you picked someone with features that looks like they come from West Asia, but then you go down to noses and then you can change their nose to a 'roman nose', and start editing it in detail from there. Does this make sense?
