Over the last few days, this guy has been coming into my work and talking to me. At first, I thought he was just friendly, but I started suspecting something when he began to compliment me saying "You're a really good looking guy." He then proceded to come in and brought me a gift and left his phone number. I never contacted him as this was very awkward for me.

In ME:A can we have a crew or random secret admirer that continually tries to persuade us into loving them? What would best work if said LI was an opposing sexuality as you, trying to convince you that they can turn you?

Why would you want that? It's awkward and many already were sort of grossed out about how fast Liara jumps on you in ME1 or how Zevran flirts with you in DAO. And if this character doesn't share you sexuality it isn't somthing pleasant for many people.

Please no more weird stalker things or unwanted ninjaromance.

Only to be used for purely benign purposes, I think you can pull that off the same way one would... "massage" the filter. With code, italics or bold or whatever is convenient.

Now that I've said it, I should double-check that it still works with smileys: >:)

That's kinda how Liara comes across if you're not romancing her, though. I mean, she will recover Shepard's dead body and gives it to Cerberus to resurrect because she 'couldn't let [them] go,' while enshrining the armor Shepard died in on a literal pedestal in her apartment, and then proceeds to attempt to immortalize them in her time capsules. Plus there's her offer of the gift of linking minds on Earth...

I mean, it's effectively canon that Liara is in love with Shepard regardless of romance state, and the result of that is that Liara severely polarizes the fandom as a result. Doesn't seem like a good idea to tap that well again.

We already have it in ME though. Just get James drunk enough and femShep can date rape him.

No not like that. We need some dweeb to be constantly trying to get our affection that is uncomfortable to the player.

Like the biotic god from ME2, I want a volus or similar alternative shooting me selfies and love messages to my private terminal, show up in missions randomly for aid, stuff like this.

Was there ever provided a reason behind why Liara decided to put Shepard's armor on display with her artifacts and items because even if they'd once been in a romance, I'd still consider that a bit odd and a questionable method of coping with grief.

Sometimes I think it would have been better if they'd put Shepard in a coma and if they had to have Cerberus they could have had them be the only ones willing to perform unethical and experimental cybernetic implantations.

People often keep mementos of friends or relatives who have died. It is a fairly normal and common reaction to grief. We also know it is not unusual for an asari to keep mementos. The armor is a relic from Shepards battles. Shepard is the saviour of the galaxy keeping his armor is the equivalent of having the space age Excalibur ;)

Still, enshrining the armor someone literally died in, as opposed to, say, a favored gun or something are two VERY different things. I mean, my grandmother kept an American flag on her bedroom dresser in honor of her husband after he died, given because he was a veteran, but she didn't put the uniform on a mannequin and display it in the living room.

At the least, I'd have liked to have played Shepard as being really uncomfortable with the fact that Liara did this, that she was enshrining this piece of their armor, metaphorically putting Shepard on a pedestal.

I really don't think I'm that needy for attention. Come on now, you're starting to hurt my sensitive feelings

This is not a pair of underwear is a piece of ARMOR. An armor represents a warriors pride and honour. Just like Wrex wanted his family armour despite what his family did to him. Liara kept Shepards armor as an honouring to the greatest hero the galaxy has ever known. There is nothing creepy about it.

This thread reminded me how I lamented there not being an option to break Anders' jaw in DA2 for making a pass at my (male) Hawke.

Liara polarized the BSN; the fandom by and large loved her. Most popular squadmate by miles.

No, there is plenty creepy about it. I'm telling you, I am creeped out by it. I find it unsettling and says some really uncomfortable things about Liara's mental state, that she is indeed OBSESSED with Shepard, and more specifically with the myth of Commander Shepard, rather than the person who wore that armor. Wrex wanted his family armor, but he wasn't displaying it publicly for anyone to see, he just wanted to have it for him personally. Liara puts it on display in her living room, right across from the big ass window for anyone to see if they fly by or if they stop by for a chat.

Actually, I would not mind if the girl made the first move. I like it when the girl makes the first move.

If a girl does not know how to flirt, but is still trying to say something, I would probably like it regardless.

That's your problem then. Bioware can't include stupid dialogue just to make every vocal minority happy.

So what? Liara has respect for what Shepard represents (humanity's champion, the only one that can probably stop the Reapers, etc.) but she also has respect for Shepard the person that exists beyond all of that. That isn't creepy either. I think it's clear that Liara's mission in Redemption was her way of showing some final respects towards both the figure that is Shepard and the person that lies underneath. I think what she did was quite honorable, and it's really irritating when people trivialize it by calling her 'obsessed' or 'crazy'.
