Wasn't Halo 5 running at 60 a big deal for Xbox one? Yes it was. People want the best experience possible, 60 offers the best experience.

It was a big deal for me as they supposedly dropped split screen co-op as it wouldn't have been running at sweet sixty.

Though it turned out the story was terrible anyway so maybe I dodged a bullet.

What's your goal here? Troll people until you get reported? Because if that's the case, just say so. I'm sure someone would do you the favor.

No, my goal here is not to troll anyone.  My point, with this post specifically was to point out to you that because I'm on a PC right now it's only logical to assume that I use my PC to play and not XBox Live.

EDIT :  I no longer have a dog in this fight.  I've said you've won, if you can't take that and go...  Then that's on you.  I'm trying my best not to turn this into a street brawl and bring up previous posts and use some really colorful language.  So, let's just say that you've won and PC is the master race.

Yeah, I can't help you if you miss the topic repeatedly. This was never about PCs or consoles (except that consoles may be limited by their hardware but we don't know what BioWare could do about it), it was you disbelieving that there is a difference between 30 and 60fps. This was explained several times, which you countered with offtopic examples (baseball, really?). It's you who brought up the PC Master Race thing, so that's on you.

Arguing that an objective fact is wrong simply doesn't work. Sorry. 60fps is better than 30fps, end of discussion. Anything else really doesn't matter.

Really?   Kicking me when I'm down?   Really?  That's the kind'a warrior that you are, huh?  Stay classy, BSN.

*sigh* Seriously. Discussions are not something you can win in the first place, which means you can't lose either.

You're thinking of debates, which are something different.

Yah, because I'm hitting the XBox live forums these days.  They're all the rage.  And seeing posts like, "I'm only getting 48 fps!  Waaaah, I'm returning it!"

Right.

Yeah, because there's never any rage when a console game is revealed to run at 30 FPS, no rivalry when the PS4 has higher FPS than Xbox for the same game, no one called BS when The Order 1886 ran at 24 FPS with only a pathetic excuse to show for it, console gamers are never angry when a game performs so poorly it can't reach 30 FPS (Unity) and companies never showcase 60 FPS on console games as a marketing point.

The above never happens, I tell ya. PC players are clearly the only ones who ever care about FPS. I reject your reality and substitute my own!

That's great, I have no knowledge of the consoles and am glad to hear it.  But it still doesn't help me when I'm dealing with someone getting double the frame rates mentioned (of The Order) and returning the game.

Also, drop the snark.

Double the framerate on The Order? As in, their copy ran at 48 FPS or something? Because that's just not possible unless their PS4 is a magical one. The game is literally capped at 24 FPS, and there's no way in hell the PS4 can display that game's graphic at much higher framerates anyway.

I'll drop the snark when you drop the passive-aggressive attitude and making yourself into a victim because people disagree with you and call your faulty logic out on the internet.

Okay, I'm thinking that it's time for the mods to close this thread.

The "street justice" here would be you getting banned for your obvious trolling.

I do want to see your particular brand of "street justice".

Just let me go get some popcorn.

When faced with the reality that you were wrong about something, you acted like an internet tough guy and made yourself look like a complete tool.

but please, tell me more about that street justice. I could use some amusement right now.

Wow, really?  Then, you must have a warped sense of logic.

EDIT :  This entire "PC master race" thing has gotta stop.  It just has to.  Otherwise, these companies will take a look at PC's and they'll decide to give what's left over.  They won't even optimize it.  You'll be lucky if you don't start seeing "Press start to continue" and "Press Y to continue" on your PC's.  If you ******, who cares.  PC players will always ******.

Look at the RotTR forums on Steam right now, I can guarantee you that there are at least two to four threads on the main page bitching about frame rate.  "Waaaaaaaaah, I'm only getting 48 fps!"

If that were me in the other side of that situation, I would say to you, "Fine, take your money and get the **** off'a my site."  Especially when they don't need you.  And they don't need you.

That's great!   Keep testing them!   That's always a good route to take.  "Let's keep on pushing them to see how much **** they'll take!"

Wow, seriously?

Here's a reality check for you: companies that market products to us are not doing us some favor that we need to be thankful for.

Please take your anti-consumer attitude and get off the internet.

Hopefully not.  Debates are about scoring points.  Discussions are about changing minds.

Both are adversarial.

And here is gameplay footage of the exact same segment of Grand Theft Auto 5, but on the PC and rendered at 60 fps. The visual fidelity of the game doesn't change at all between the 2 versions. The threads of the baseball", so to speak, don't show up in either one, because that's not the point. The second video is animated much more fluidly and has a higher quality due to the higher framerate.

At the risk of sending this thread in an even less productive direction --nah, that's impossible-- are you sure the visual fidelity is the same? Looks different to me when paused. I find the framerate trivial compared to the other differences, particularly lighting.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'd even notice the framerate if I wasn't deliberately looking for it.

Discuss. But know this. If console versions run at 30fps again, the PC race will end up with the same enhanced higher polygon graphics, only at 60fps.

Yes run it at 30fps LOCKE

it's a fate because console don't upgrade like pc  . they say they develop the game like dai so for ps 4 - xbox one and pc so yes 30 fps

and it's like a pc gamer who have a pc 5 year old and say " hey guys i don't understand why i can't run the last game its come  out at max setting ........"

Noticing the framerate from a video is difficult anyway. You'd definitely notice the difference if you played the game though.

Booooh, consoles! Slowing down the development of the gaming industry. Booooh!

Boo for PC, for speeding things up, driving development costs up faster and forcing BioWare to merge with EA in these dog eat dog soulless gaming development times. Gaming technology moving forward too fast clearly isn't for the best of gamers. Why do you think ME2 & 3 lost the open world exploration? Because gamers cry for better graphics, like they cried the off worlds in ME1 graphically bland. And something has to give when gamers cry graphics.

Game being developed in console 60fps means less graphics development time and instead spent elsewhere. Like gameplay. And now you also get a more playable game as a bonus at 60fps.

60fps also adds to cinematic scenes. Seeing the ME2 Aria intro cinema at enhanced fps for a change really enhanced this scene for me personally. Like I was finally getting the impact of that scene for the first time.

You're missing my point. People also want a game that's interesting to play. More development time spent on building one area graphically means less time to build extra explorable areas.
