I know it may not happen but a guy can still hope, right?

The guy who made the petition asks too much, imo.

ME3 is fine. ME2 could use a mild touch-up but ME1 is the one in desparate need of a remaster.

Actually, he doesn't ask for enough.

The problem is, by the time you changed all the stuff that doesn't make sense, fixed all the plotholes and came up with scientific solutions instead of wild space magic, the game wouldn't be Mass Effect anymore.

It would have worked if it came first (and in my opinion, would have been the better game) but as a follow up to ME? No chance. People would always compare the two and ME has a huge nostalgia bonus on its side.

No kidding. What a moron. He wants them to essentially remake ME3 from the ground up. And replace the ending with Indoctrination Theory. And have the remastered trilogy done and available before Winter 2016.

Just remaster the damn thing, add in the deleted scenes/Story DLC and we're off and spending.

Happy to buy all the skins and even some MP stuff as DLC BioWare.

No need to change the ending now after this long.

They should just update ME1 and 2's gameplay to be up to par with 3's. Everything else is "magic wand" level wishful thinking.

What if the remaster already exist and it'll become available as a tier 2(deluxe, pathfinder, insert awesomely named pre-order bundle here) pre-order exclusive for andromeda?

So is that. They would have to rebuild ME1 to accommodate ME3-style gameplay.

At the very least they should add a "reduce all to omni-gel" function when looting to ME1.

Most remasters take everything in low resolution/fidelity and remake it in high resolution/fidelity. They don't alter anything about the game. So expecting a new ending is out of the scope of the project if it ever got off the ground.

His question about what happened to Conrad was already answered in game.

An anniversary edition for Mass Effect would not be bad.

Here is what I would add.

Mass Effect
• Updated HD textures, skins, and skyboxes.
• Fixed glitches.
• Improved shadows and lighting.
• Un-used/cut dialogue.
• Improved A.I.
• Improved frame-rate.
• Reduced motion blur.
• A second and third audio track for the bars, clubs, and lounges that are as good as the ones already used.

Mass Effect 2
• Updated HD textures, skins, and skyboxes.
• Fixed glitches.
• The audio of Ashley Williams reading her apology letter.
• Improved shadows and lighting.
• A optional dimmer atmosphere inside the Normandy.
• More of Miranda Lawson.
• Add the M-490 Blackstorm Projector into the base game so everyone can use it.
• Un-used/cut dialogue.
• Improved frame-rate.
• An actual dialogue wheel for Kasumi Goto when on the Normandy.
• The option to re-enter into the Afterlife VIP area after Samara's loyalty mission.
• A second and third audio track for the bars, clubs, and lounges that are as good as the ones already used.

Mass Effect 3
• Improved shadows and lighting.
• Fixed glitches.
• Un-used/cut dialogue.
• Improved frame-rate.
• A second and third audio track for the bars, clubs, and lounges that are as good as the ones already used.

And non-game disk with every DLC, behind the scenes videos, and bloopers.

Although the guys at EA said that they are not really into making remasters, and even if they do. It's gonna probably be a while, but if it does. I WANT EXACTLY WHAT YOU JUST STATED!!!!!

Downside though. More people working on a remastered version, the less people you have on any new project that you are also probably working on, and I would rather they focus more a new game so it comes out right and not buggy.

<snip>

That's a reasonable list I think :) And I'd want behind the scenes videos and bloopers so badly too! I love stuff like that.

The guy from the petition has some good ideas at the beginning imo, but I wouldn't want them to change the story. This will never happen anyway, and that's a good thing in my eyes.

Anyway, the thing I'd want most is the cut content, they had more dialogue for Jack and Zaeed in ME3 iirc, and they scrapped a scene with FemShep and James at the FOB if the Lola was allowed - I'd take that :D (never gonna happen, I know)

What I'd also like as changes would be a better inventory in ME1 and the chance to assign 3 hotkeys for Shepard on console. And quick-save for every game

For ME3, maybe the ME2 squadmates or at least LIs could also appear as a playable character during the Citadel DLC story, like Wrex. But I guess that would be a lot to add, so it's more like some kind of dream, haha.

In the same manner, James and Javik should be able to hold the nameplate at the end of the Extended Cut. That would be so cool.

All remaster I've seen are done by the original studios or their successors, [halo by 343 industries, final fantasy by square enix]

There's the Bluepoint Games and they did lots of spectacular remaster collections.

You aren't wrong about Halo but Square Enix had outsourced its remasters. Hexa Drive handled Type-0 HD and Virtuos worked on X | X-2 Remaster. The FF games you think SE made them were just ports.

Square-Enix has tons of studios and 343 has multiple studios. The team making MEA wouldn't be making a trilogy remaster. It doesn't happen. Publishers generally have studios dedicated to things like remasters, console ports, etc. Remasters are not the work of development studios.

So... people who screamed for a new ending and didn't win now seek new ways to get what they want?

I say NO. Make a remaster - it would be a shame to forgot ME Trilogy completely. BUT...

1) make it in the 10th anniversary of a ME3 or Citadela DLC release. Not few years after it's out! Plus now there's more of remasters than new IPs.

2) DO NOT change the story! Make some new not essential side quest if you must, improve game mechanics (even using of war assets), but do not change the main story or dialogs.

3) if you want some radical changes - use MP. There you can do almost anything.

So, for now and for THIS petition? I say hell NO.

This should be the petition not the nonsense the current one has. The only addition would be shorter load times.

C'mon EA you're all about the cash grabs. Remaster the ME trilogy for modern PCs and consoles.
