Is this actually based on anything?

Doubtful.  It's hard to take anyone serious with a bunch of gibberish at the top of everything they post.

Isn't this what they always said?  Late '16 - early '17?

And since I'm not 8 years old and don't get all my games for Christmas anymore, it doesn't really matter what month it falls in, as long as it's good.

You don't get time off for the Holidays to play video games?

I don't get paid holidays.  If I wanted time off, doesn't really matter if it's November or March.

This is the most melodramatic, infantile fanbase in gaming. Fiscal years are 12 months. As in March 2016-March 2017. Holiday 2016 is in that fiscal year, ya idiots. This is not confirmation of a delay. It's not even a suggestion of a delay.

The next 14 months? Is that with or without the inevitable delay?

Well they haven't really set a release date yet so really all it is is a timeframe for when to expect the game, that being said when they actually do set a release date I would suggest adding an extra 6 months for a more accurate idea of when it will actually release.

Also anyone still actually play Titanfall? Can't imagine there would be too many rushing for the sequel.

Still hoping for 2016 release, they didn't say it wouldn't, but I won't really mind a delay. For now, 2016 it is, until Bioware says otherwise.

I would not get your hopes up.

Have you met the Half-life fanbase?

Have you met the Half-life fanbase?

They're anxious and deprived, not demonstrably childish and stupid like the Mass Effect fanbase.

No but in all fairness they have been waiting over 11 years for even a mention of Half Life 3 so I would say they at least have some reason to be concerned.

I don't see any post in this thread that would qualify as stupid and demonstrably childish. People hear news, they get excited, they speculate.

Really? The multiple posts by people who don't know how to use a calendar don't qualify?

I used to mod a Harry Potter forum back in the day. I'm not being tough, I'm just coming to the forums to have fun and speculate with other people who are as passionate about my hobbies and interests as I am.

Some people don't understand fiscal years. Some people don't read all of the posts in a thread. All I'm saying is there's no need for debilitating arguments about people's intellectual level. Sometimes people are happier when they are nicely told about their error, not insulted.

So they thought the fiscal year lasted from January 2017 to March 2017? That doesn't qualify as dumb?

I would assume ME:A is coming in the Sept., Oct., Nov., 2016 holiday launch window.

Maybe they didn't know when a fiscal year starts. Is it dumb? "Dumb" is subjective to those who think they are more educated than others.

Maybe it is dumb, it still doesn't make it ok for you to call people dumb. Lack of good manners still isn't ok on the internet, even though over the past few years, trolling, baiting, and bullying have become precedent.

Basically, lighten up. We're here to enjoy the news and get excited for what is  coming next. Insulting an entire fanbase, when you, yourself, count yourself as a part of the fanbase, doesn't make sense.

I'm one of those people who just like to enjoy things and hate arguing, debate, and putting others down. If this is what is considered normal on the forum, then I may find another place to post about my hobbies.

Nah I think they just assume it will be coming later in the timeline rather than sooner which generally when you get a vague timeframe tends to happen.

Hope for the best but expect the worst.

Besides the article seems to suggest that a new battlefield game will be out in time for the holidays while Mass Effect and Titanfall 2 will be released sometime after the holidays later in the fiscal year suggesting a 2017 release date.

I was 25 when ME3 came out.

I'll be 30 when MEA comes out.

I'll just leave this here.

I was 1 when Return of the Jedi was released.

I was 33 when the following episode was released.

I'll just leave this here.

...

But yeah I agree. Long-lasting triple A projects like that are tough to wait for.

On a side note (again), I was 25 when Half-Life 2: Episode Two was released. I'll be... wait, I think I'll be dead before Episode Three gets released, damn.
