So i got traspasser the other day, (since i got some free time i replay DA I again to play the last DLC), so after finsihing the game i go to the internet and star checking reviews about Traspasser and all that, and OMG.... lol is so funny how every forums now is plague with ppl comparing any game with Withcher 3.

lol dont get me wrong i think Witcher 3 is a good game, but this last couple of month i just hate the game now bc how stupid ppl act about it lol. Is like they need to reaffirm the game is good to everyone.

Anywya, about Traspasser, u guys really think we going to be playing a underground inquisition on Tavinter on DA4????

Based on BioWare's laziness, I'm thinking they will sink all their effort into making Tevinter look presentable, and the (ex)Inquisitor will be reduced to cameo appearances. I don't even think there is an option to set the Inquisitor's personality, or at least not yet there isn't.

Laziness, as in not wanting to put effort into carrying player choice over to new games. If you manage to find one of the "Bring back the Hero of Ferelden" threads then you'll understand. BioWare does not want to put the effort in to have the game accurately reflect the custom character from Origins. They barely managed this with Hawke, who was mainly a BioWare character, not a mostly customizable character.

As for Trespasser, it was poorly written, short, and forced. At the end they funnel all players into what is essentially the same choice. Or at best, one of two slightly different choices.

Inquisition was a good game, but there are many things that were cut from it, and there are still some bugs that BioWare can't be bothered with to correct.

What you call laziness, I call the reality of not having infinite time/funds...

Anyway, I certainly hope we get to play an underground Inquisition for DA4.

Don't get me started on Fallout 4. Witcher series has the most immature and nerdrage fans (Not all of them in case people want to be pedantic) ever that they feel they need to convert people into their religion and bashing everything else. I can't think of a worse game fanbase at the moment.

I hope we get a new protagonist the next game.

I could say the same for some people here. And I am pretty sure you could find that kind of people in every fanbase out there.

I agree with you here.

I agree.

I haven't seen DA people going onto articles or trailers of other video games talking about how awesome their game is. Perhaps you could point me to some of those comments? Maybe some repetitive comparison talking about how games of different genre and setting are so much inferior to their game?

ohhh ofcurse a new protagonist, what i mean about underground inquisition is as trying to take Tavinter from the shadows.

Considering the Inquisition could be disbanded, I don't think they should use it. People would complain about their choices don't matter. I would rather to be focusing on Tevinter this time around to be honest.

I don't know about that.. maybe you are right since I don't follow many communities due to lack of time...

I was just referring about the reaction of many people here if someone dares to criticize in any way their game.

And in that case I think the same thing happens everywhere...

I'm one of those people who criticize DAI, so I can rationally see what's wrong with the game itself, some people on here intentionally make attacking comments toward games and talking about how bad the game is even when it's not even released yet. They said a DLC would win game of the year over the ME game. I never understand why people who hate certain games and game franchise so much that they keep insulting the games like they have nothing better to do with their time. It's one thing to criticize, but it's another thing to irrationally hate on a game. I remember at the game award, a bunch of people scream "not Fallout" when they're announcing GOTY. It's very unprofessional and make the entire award a joke, not that it already isn't. I always welcome smart intelligent criticism like why this is bad and how people could learn about other games like the Witcher and make this game better, it's constructive and people may see their points and may even play the game they compare it to, not posting crap like "witcher" then a gif of a guy dropping a mic and said "that's all", when the game has nothing to do with the Witcher. These kinds of immature people make me dislike the game even on a subconscious level due to the obnoxious behaviors they display. I played the Witcher 3, and while I don't like the combat or how choices are more illusion compared to the Witcher 2, I can see the appeal, but these kinds of attacking comments people display toward other games and game companies would just make people turn away and give a bad name not only to the fans but to the game itself.

yeah and with u here, like i know DA I have issue not saying is a perfect game (i have never find a game like that), i got tired that every time i enter a post about RPG (on other forums) or open worlds. Everyone said "Witcher 3 is much better game blah blah blah" or "Witcher 3 add a new standar for RPG game or revolutionate RPG games". After playing Withcer 3 i didnt find any revolutionary or diferent RPG element that a game like Baldur Gate didnt have.

That why is horrible how post the last couplet of months have become. Is always Witcher 3 vs (insert game) or Fallout 4 vs (insert name) or the worst when Fallout and Witcher Fan star fighting each other lol.

*SNIP*

I am a huge fan of both franchises, DA and TW, but, like you, I can see the respective flaws that both of them have. At any rate, as a gamer, I could never bear a grudge against a game because of their fanbase. Probably like I said, it helps me the fact that I don't spend many time in communities. Well, with the exception of BSN.. in spite of its bad reputation.

And I will never *ever* understand all those "game vs game" wars. Not in my whole life.

Well that's an unrealistic perspective. No company has infinite time or funds. Yet they can make full games with a lot of variation.

The Inquisition will probably be so "underground" in DA4 that we won't even be able to see it. Remember that disbanding entirely was an option.

If the Inquisition disbanded, then its an underground Inquisitor + Leiliana + Cassandra + Harding + whatever contacts they have.

Oh, yeah, the Witcher comparisons are way too much.

Witcher does EVERYTHING right apparently...

Except characters, story, gameplay, soundtrack... Those are all I find uncompelling about the entire Witcher series...

Problem with W3 was the fighting system, ugly looking armor, randomly getting hit by a fire ball from a high level monster at a low level zone instantly killing you. The game is based off a large scale war you NEVER see. Just patrolman horsing around talking **** about the other faction. How pathetic Dikstra and Dandalion is. Story sucked. DAI>W3

lol we see it opposite. I find DA:I to be a generally lackluster game and Tresspasser to be a good and interesting DLC (and hey that funneling of players into the same situation greatly raises the odds of being able to play the inquisitor again in DA4  )

I suppose it makes it less unlikely, but the loss of the hand makes the (ex)Inquisitor's return as a playable character highly unlikely. They would have to either account for each race, class, spec and give a unique replacement arm for each variation of character, or they would have to come up with some kind of magical cure-all prosthetic that every character can wear and use to restore perfect functionality. And having the character show up with the equivalent of the Nintendo Power Glove just seems like a bad plot. Losing the arm was BioWare's way of making the (ex)Inquisitor not be the next playable character. Same way the cure was the Hero's reason for not being the playable character.

What's wrong with comparing games to TW3? I always compare 2015/early 2016 games to The Witcher and all 2015/early 2016 DLCs to the Trespasser DLC. You know why? Because I like comparing to the best.

The hope that BioWare will give something like the loss of a limb, the betrayal of an ally, the fall from power the care and attention to make a great story and a great game is a small one but it's the only thing keeping me interested in the future of DA. It's likely as you say that they severed the hand for the sole purpose of getting the inquisitor out of the way (which as I've said before is in my opinion a disgusting idea). It's likely that the inquisitor will be a completely helpless background NPC quest giver in DA4 and that some random Joe will take over and finish the story. If that's true then my desire to play future DA and BioWare games will simply reset to what it was before Trespasser and that's pretty much zero so nothing is lost. I do have that small hope however because of what was set up in Trespasser and the fact that there is a new lead writer. It would be amazing to play a DA where the protagonist and antagonist are connected and have a history an to be able to be a character who has weaknesses rather than being an unstoppable killing machine and where we get to see the hero struggle with the physical and emotional weight of losing a hand. If not I just won't play it.

Well then I have bad news for you. This is the same team that forced our Inquisitors to wear the red formal attire because they were too lazy to program a severed left arm modification into each wardrobe outfit. I would even go so far as to predict that all (ex)Inquisitors will be wearing the same outfit in DA4. Same design. Same color scheme.

I also won't buy it, but my bar is that the Hero of Ferelden return. I might be able to stomach a quest-giving Inquisitor or as an adviser, but they can't just keep ignoring the Hero of this story. Personally, I would like to see my Inquisitor return using Stone Fist as a functional arm. But I know that would be asking far too much of BioWare.

Witcher 3? Never heard of her.
