Never had this happen to me to this extent but damn is this site working my last nerve. Doing a game and the site keeps cutting out all audio, cutting out my mic and just flat out crashing, now its in everlasting reload while we're in the middle of a fight and I was actually landing hits for once.

This is so going to happen to me tomorrow. Gonna go see Deadpool and people are calling it the best comic book movie ever, stating that every superhero movie should now we R rated etc. I almost already hate the movie, damn you world!

 

 

Yeah, I do not agree with those people about it being the best. It's funny, and Ryan Reynolds does the character really, really well, but it also shows that they blew a significant portion of their budget on an epic CGI-heavy action sequence in the intro, because they have to be a little careful the rest of the time. There are some characters that do not actually need to be there, and then some that aren't but should be. 

 

Let us know what you think. I doubt you'll hate it, but you probably will think the hype is in overdrive.

I have to get this off of my chest.

So in the ME Franchise Lore section, someone started a thread thinking that BioWare was a little misogynist. I put in my thoughts (to sum up, they've done some stuff that could be considered accidentally sexist but they don't hate women,) and the person kept insisting that porn is awful and bad and destroys marriages. He continued with the fallacy, until I pretty much told him that I watch adult films with my husband. I don't notice age online the majority of the time, but a 20 year old kid telling me that porn is awful for marriage just makes me see red. Get back to me when you're old enough to drink kid. I've been with my Sasquatch since the OP was 8 years old.

The OP even said that he couldn't picture the Asari, since they found the Citadel in this cycle, allowing strip clubs and legal prostitution. I'm thinking, "Did we play the same series?"

So porn is bad, sex is bad and folks won't like the sight of porn or strippers in the 23rd Century. Give me a break.

Really, the only negative thing about porn that I can think of is that it can lead young men to have unrealistic expectations of what sex is. But I suppose those are taken care of after he's actually been out there a bit.

I love this XD.

He's not very hairy, but he's 6'5" with a size 15 shoe (US). He got the nickname of Sasquatch in college, and he can do a spot-on Wookie impression. We've had our ups and downs, but that's mainly due to stress. Family, bills, work, even alcholism at one point...but porn has never been an issue in our marriage. I'm very lucky and we've battled our inner demons together as a team. I met a good guy that treats me like an equal, and he's one of the two closest friends I have.

I just hope they have fun learning, that they stay safe, and they don't let their preconceived notions rule over ever aspect of their life.

Actually, I've known lots of men who've inherited that severe a take on things like pornography. It's very common in religious environments.

 

I have an uncle who practically idolizes Dr. Kellogg, the guy who believed that masturbation was such a serious evil that he often resorted to genital mutilation.

They were also claiming that legalizing brothels was horribly destructive for society. I flat out told them that I'm a feminist that believes in legal prostitution. Legalize it, tax it, regulate it and make it safe. They didn't flame me, but I think I surprised them with that.

That's pretty much word for word my gran had on the subject as well. Forgot how it was brought up in the first place though and she had the added reason of 'would of made my job easier back in the day'. For the record she was a cop not  a prostitute.

Wow, I wish I could meet your grandma. She was a female cop in a tough time period for women entering "male roles" so I already have a lot of respect for her. Plus, I think it's awesome that she feels that legalized prostitution would be helpful. She seems pretty cool. Must have some interesting stories to tell.

I figure that a woman has a right to choose their life. I also figure that nothing can change people going to strangers for sex. Therefore, let those men and women choose their lifestyle, so long as it doesn't hurt anyone. Tax it, because if nothing else living in Colorado has taught me there is a ton of tax money to be made off of vices. I'm a housewife, which is the bane of a lot of radical feminists. I've heard my share of it too: "You're letting a man control you." They can kiss my lily white German pucker.

Anyway, if a women has a right to choose, and might (gasp) enjoy sex with a lot of people, they have a right to be treated like the Consort if they choose to have a concubine like lifestyle. That isn't in line with a lot of the radical feminists that are looking for reasons to get upset. Also, anytime I hear BioWare accused of misogyny, I have to shake my head. Yikes. It's something I never really thought of, but it makes sense. I always admire folks willing to do that.

She could be stretching the truth but according to her thats really only happened once for her, though from my understanding she was well liked where she work to the point of if needed she could still call in some favors. Though as awesome as gran can be with stuff like that she is kind of sexist in weird ways, i.e. won't adopt a kitten to a single man but will adopt one to a single woman. So her stories regarding things like that I try to take with a grain.
