I don't know of any rumors, but I would be absolutely shocked if ME:A actually does get released in 2016. Bioware's last games have all had delays, and we're now in 2016 and we haven't seen any gameplay footage/images, or have gotten a real trailer. We still have a pretty minimal amount of information on this game. So unless they take the Bethesda approach and show off the game a few months before release (and I highly doubt they will because that's not EA's style), then I'm not expecting a 2016 release. I'm expecting late Q1 or Q2 of 2017.

Although this might not be down to "not going to be released in 2016", but to not overlap advertisement of ME:A with other games. EA made a fuss about Battlefront and other games. Maybe EA left ME:A gameplay out of the equation until mid 2016 on purpose. They'll have EA play this year. I do agree that it isn't like EA at all, but EA has expanded lately. They also seem to be slightly altering policy in certain areas ever since 2012.

It won't be Q2 2017. I can assure you of that. They will try to get this out as late as "late Q1 2017". They'll not push away into the summer sales with Mass Effect: Andromeda. They might delay it until ~February, but they won't release any later than March.

Agreed if they thought the game wasn't going to be ready for release in March they'd wait until Holiday 2017 before releasing so the game needs to be ready by the end of February at the latest if it's to release in the appropriate window.

If this is true, why would it be newsworthy? You'd be hard-pressed to find a game that isn't delayed at least once before release.

Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Civilization: Beyond Earth are three that come to my mind. I'm not keeping track of many games so I cannot really know many. From Bioware, Mass Effect 2.

I'd rather wait till 2017 and get a good game instead of a late 2016 rushed game that is buggy and incomplete.

In the mean time, we have lost of other games to play, like Fallout 4, the new Deus Ex and what not.

I'd be careful. The truth can be deadly, like the Avenger when fired on full auto.

Which I would call the exception, not the rule.

Hi,

I've been reading a few articles about the possible delay of ME:Andromeda til summer 2017...

I know some senior staff have left Bioware and this has probably had an undesired effect, and possibly delayed the release, but could you either quash the rumour or let us know?

We haven't had any real news about the game in ages.

Wut the ... Dang it... So how long are we going to wait for Dragon Age?

Rumors are just that. At this point in DA:I's development, there was very little information as well. Shoot, this lead to a night where folks were comparing companions to fish. So this seems to be pretty typical. Also, ME's development cycle wouldn't affect DA's very much. Two different teams in two different cities; ME is being developed at BioWare: Montreal and DA is based in Edmonton.

My guess for DA:4 is late 2017. Thanks mike for catching that.

Don't you mean DA4, if that's what it will be called.

Are you looking forward to Feb 7th? What do you predict will be the final score?

D'oh! Yeah, I meant DA4. My bad.

24-27, Broncos win. Of course, being a Broncos fan, I'm more than a touch bias for my home team. :P

No problem. I say it will be released late 2018. The new IP, whatever it is, will be released late 2017.

I say 37-9 for Panthers. I will even add that Luke Kuechly will get an interception and take it in for a touchdown

As far as the new IP goes, I think that will be late 2018, since they are still building everything from a story perspective as we speak. I think the next DA will be in late 2017, with ME in early 2017.

Really? The Broncos getting nine points? Hardly. I think it'll come down to the wire, with the deciding point being a field goal with about a minute left. With Payton back and in the best condition he's been in years, this isn't the same team that got by on luck in early in the regulation season. You're just sore that they beat NE last week. ;)

...And we should take this to PM, since we've officially hit off-topic. Sorry about that everyone, I'll lay off the football talk.

I'm still curious if this an actual rumor or just some apprehension on the part of the OP. A delay could happen. DA:I was delayed by six weeks, and I'm not counting the year long extension.

You won't need to worry there, I think Half Three is going to be one of those games that ends up like Duke Nukem Forever.

Delayed for like a decade and then it comes out its garbage.

Damn straight.  With how long it's been in development it should be at least as good as Duke Nukem forever.

*looks up at previous post* and someone beat me too it by a large margin because I didn't finish catching up with the thread.

If it's coming out this year I'm thinking November for the holiday sales and all. If not this year maybe March, come March it'll be 5 years since ME3 came out.

Usually happens with those very long delayed games.

For speaking the truth even press specialist say" game who don't come out on 2016 there is mass effect andromeda " .Every one hope the game will be finish for the end of the year but at the same moment  say delay is possible.

for my part I would say if they don't begin the marketing session at e3 or before e3 for andromeda with a release date   the game will be delay .
