Can't delay what doesn't have a release date.
Public release date. There are always internal dates that companies aim for.

...probably true?
I don't mind that much because I'm building a new PC for it (plus other games
), and the timing was a bit tight for me because I didn't wanna lose any weekly ME:A events (thank you for that, Zen
). Anyway, if they really delay it, the game BETTER be damn good.
I'm still curious if this an actual rumor or just some apprehension on the part of the OP. A delay could happen. DA:I was delayed by six weeks, and I'm not counting the year long extension.
Wasn't that 6 week delay for fixing bugs in the game? It still had a lot when it was finally released.
EA said that MEA will be relased in their fiscal year 2017 - meaning somewhere between April 2016 - April 2017 and everyone is just screaming right now that it was delayed to spring 2017. With no prove. BioWare still states, that MEA is planned for holiday 2016. That doesn't mean it can't delay, but not at this point.

You don't find it odd that BIo/EA went from holidays 2016 to fiscal year 2017?
The message is not consistent.

They were not talking about MEA specifically, but about several games they have in development. This is nothing but a report for their shareholders to notify them that they will have several large and probably quite profitable games out. Basically "dont worry soon there is going to be more money"
Weren't Me2 and Me3 pushed back a few months?
It happens, and even though right now it's a bit stupid to consider these 'rumors' as having any merit, you should just expect for an early 2017 release anyway.
D'oh! Yeah, I meant DA4. My bad.
24-27, Broncos win. Of course, being a Broncos fan, I'm more than a touch bias for my home team.
Lol You think an ineffective offense that had close to less than half the TDs the opposing offense had with comparable defenses (TDs allowed specifically) is going to win? Can't fault you considering the bias as a fan, though...at least this time it might not be a blowout.

Since they overlap, no, I do not.
Yeah I agree seeing as Holiday 2016 is still technically in that window
I hope not, but on the other hand I definitely want them not to rush the game

It's been in development for over 4 years, they arent rushing lol
I guess we'll know the definitive release date at E3 or EA Play events (June). Or as soon as on GDC (March).

That Jan-March timeframe is part of the Winter 2016 lineup.
If nothing else, it's in the same timeframe as before.
Stop reading crap articles.

"We're not yet announcing when Titanfall or Mass Effect Andromeda will come, but you should assume that's in the back half of the year [2016] as well because the second quarter [July-September] is so dominated by our sports titles."

When one message is aimed at the public and the other at investors, no, it's not inconsistent.

Remember that assertion when butthurt "fans" get their e-outrage on because of...whatever. LOL

Well, 4 years might be enough or not, depending on why exactly certain members on the team had to leave in the middle, that could point to various problems in development, so will the game end up rushed? No way to know.

My point is that the game could take 10 years to develop (active development) and people would STILL say it's rushed because people can't just not like something. They have to blame someone or something (imaginary even) for why they don't like it.

A game being rushed is a (more or less) factual statement, an example would be a part of the game (in most cases the final part) that is simply
of a lower quality than the rest, or a game that spent very little time in development in general (like DA2) and had to re-use assets on a massive scale, etc.
I'm betting first week in March, 2017.
ME 2 released in the first week of March.
ME 3 released in the first week of March.
Do not care, planning to replay DaI and witcher again.
3 + 3 months = 6 months of delay. No problem!

Not all accusations of games being rushed are based on fact or knowledge of what actually took place.

True, it's more about an analysis (sometimes flawed) of the end result, still, a game being rushed is a less insulting reason for problems in the game than developers not caring, non-existent or insufficient QA, etc.
