This shud be in SoU forum but not really spolier cuz it in SoU Readme anyway. They say Level 13 end SoU which about right. If use hench always thru... maybe 12 or less. If do most solo, closer to 14. Am thinking SoU use ECL, too, so wiz/rog get higher end level then plain fighter, ranger, barb...
Been very long when I do SoU but think 13-14 happen for all my toons. Those always do solo and miss no chance to combat. Some respawn mobs in SoU, too, maybe. Cannot remember but think so.

It does not. Only the OC uses ECL.

If you are worried that your character will be too low a level to start Hordes of the Underdark, it may depend on the specific build, but 12th level is quite sufficient.
I played through recently, as I recall my character hit 13th level right before the final SoU battle.

I've been told that if your level is too low when you launch HotU, it will level you up (level 13, I think).

Yup, HotU levels you up to 15th.
It's nice to play so called bridge modules between SoU and HotU though
- they should give you XP and some items (don't get attached to items
)

I played recently taking a 13th level character from SoU to HotU, and there was no level-up from 13.

Mystery X, I found this: "Note: If you are not level 12-15 you have an option of going to level 15"
So I guess leveling with console or playing bridge modules are your only options ![]()
