Sometimes I think that being myself actually gets me in more trouble than doing the vorcha role-playing. Most of my warnings/bans were given before the VMB fiasco and the ones I did get as VMB were from the MEA section. Now I haven't gotten any warnings yet but I know some of my posts were deleted in the BSN help section and the flawed profanity filter failed to censor something which will probably get me a warning. If only I had the gem powers to turn the tables. I want to fuse into a mod and see what I could do on BSN even just for five minutes.

 

 

 

 

Also I'm bored.....and I need a shower because I'm stinky from work.

I'm still at work, but I have two days off in about 4 hours and a brand new vaporizer to play with. Also need to watch something, might try that show tonight finally. Just finished Star Wars Rebels and a rewatch of Sense8.

 

I have 6 warning points, the most recent I believe is from using the BSN Response Form near the same time as Marksmad got the 14 day ban. (What crap)

 

Maybe get some games in tonight if CivBE doesn't entrap me.

That's an understatement right there. Take the thread about swearing in MEA. I (well, vorcha) made a joke post with a whole lot of swearing because you know swearing. It's funny. I also previewed the post to make sure everything was censored correctly and I also censored some words myself. The only words left unaffected were 'turd' and 'butt'. Lots of people liked the post but the mods didn't. Deleted and gave me a warning for inappropriate language. Such crap. Then I made a post in the same thread stating how stupid it was to get a warning for something that was censored on purpose and saying the mods didn't get the joke. Again, post deleted and a verbal warning from a different mod. Not supposed to discuss moderation methods on the open forums blah blah.

 

I have a total of 6 warnings. 7 if you count the verbal but the mod didn't assign a point. As far as the BSN response form, I don't know what the deal is with that. I've used it several times and I just did it twice today as of right now. Never have gotten a warning yet. Their methods are inconsistent. Time to fuse.

If you look at (iirc) the very top of page 4 in the BSN response thread I even call the mods out, flat out, after Marks got the ban. No answer, but after I made that post I haven't heard of any warnings or bans. (Not that they are necessarily connected...)

 

Some of the moderation I've seen over the years is just atrocious. Lets see if I can dig up the pics I got banned for.

I just realized in the BSN response form, the [ ] What the actual f**k? tag might be the reason you and Marksmad got bans.

It varies. Some people have had almost 20 points and still not get perma-banned. I think it depends on the offensive for each warning and maybe how many in a certain amount of time. But no one really knows because mods don't know what the **** they're doing.
