I remember it like it was a drunken stupor;

- Not enough gels.
- didn't know what ops were.
- when I went down on wave 1, I was down for the count unless someone saved me.

- I learned the art of clutching through many hours in backback mode. Sending msgs like; "You did good, son."

- I remember the first sounds of Abombs going off like crazy in my first Collector matches and wondering what the heck that crazy loud explosion of coming apocalypse sound was?

- the Revenant was my first Rare maxed and my go to weapon for some time.

- Mattock eventually replaced the Revenant because it too was so cool in ME2.

- the Collector AR was one gun I wanted so bad in ME3mp Silver days because I missed out on being able to have it in ME2. Turned out that pug I was envying for having it was right. It wasn't all that... until more present days where it actually is one of my fave ARs.
- The Wraith was my first UR and it was for some time was always way ahead of the other URs. I hated it so much. Even ask some pugs that looked like they were ok if the Wraith was good. All I got in response was cricket noises from the pugs.

- I remember my first msg from some pug lobby leader only saying "Gold?" I was like "What's do you mean?" Thinking maybe he meant something about Gold X-Box membership? "Do you want to play Gold?" I facepalm for being such a scrub and cowardly reply "Sure." Totally fearing "What have done?!"
I just unlocked my first Vorcha like a day or two ago, the Engineer. Yeah, I was sad I still didn't have one of those totally OP Flamer kits that totally top scored and melted Silver in a single cast. But at least I had bloodlust to make me extra tanky. The leader was a Destroyer Typhoon, pre-final Reckoning and just after Collectors DLC. I was so jelly because that was the one kit I wanted before all. He looked so cool, so tanky, could shoot really fast/forever. And as an ultimate weapon specialist, didn't have to use those weak biotic powers. In fact, when we started on the Ghost, the first thing he did was walk up the ramp & just before the other ramp going down, and shot his gun for the longest time like Rambo. I was so impressed.
Sadly, that game did not end in success. They decided to hold the center by that center room ammo box too much, and there wasn't enough dps, I guess. Quite the rude awakening for me. Gold was serious, scary hardcore stuff. But dat Destoyer, yo;

- I remember the first time I play Vanguard (Batguard) on Silver, and thinking how totally OP, un-down-able, and broken this kit was with a super fast cooldown space magic shield restore button this class was... until an Atlas would knuckle sandwich me time and time again, because pug. But I actually soon after decided to start avoiding this class & kit because I thought it felt like cheating and that it was making me forget how to properly play this game (which I didn't know how to play this game at all to begin with, lol).

- I totally never specced or knew about melee as a viable option.

- I remember it was pretty close to 400hrs that I finally started to make the transition to Gold because Silver was finally getting so boring easy. This is where I started learning how to play and eventually clutch via many visits to backpack mode. And I totally did not feel shame, pain, pity or remorse, because "-Kssk- Lets get paid."

- I remember my first Platinum matches, because final Operation Loadstar forced my hand. I was actually worried I might not get it before the weekend was over with an... AIU!!
I thought "How is it possible these Juggernauts to even go down in the first place? Let alone always dropping like flies "Dude, my only Platinum success was with this one Jug surviving and drawing all the agro? This exact spot opposite of the Reactor door. How are you not able to do this? Try your shield." Jug pug replied "I am. It's not working. These Primes Sieges go right through em." ![]()

- Yes, I only used the pre-nerf AIU for those Lodestar matches. And was still failing... hard.

- To add further insult to above Lodestar challenge with AIU... yes, even with Reeger. ... Speaking of which, I remember some Geth challenge. And I thought about using the Reeger for it was supposed to be good against Geth. I told another pug about this, and while we played, he was like "Wow! I never new this weapon was so awesome! Everything just melts!" Lol, I've created a mosnter!

- I did eventually get the Lodestar banner in time, only to find out playing on Platinum didn't matter... ![]()

- My first match was without DLC on White with the Human Male Soldier Avenger 1. Bronze. We all got massacred bad.
