- I absolutely miss that incredible thrill when playing any of the maps/characters for the first time. I had no idea about spawns, certain powers, hiding the rocket, reload cancel, mashing the space button so that I don't die that fast, right hand advantage and many, many others. I also thought the Geth Scanner sucks and was convinced that no reasonable person could choose anything but full health or use shield reducing powers like Hunter Mode.

- I remember my first few matches being solo Bronze attempts with the Novaguard, which of course failed miserably. I thought I would never, ever make it, not even with a team, it just seemed so OP. Moreover, I didn't want people to join, because I thought I would suck badly. I also ran away from a group of Troopes and Centurions, that one Banshee or one Pretorian in deep terror.  :D Note: I soon realised that outrunning a Pyro doesn't work so well.

- It took some 250 hours to finally receive the character I've waited for from the beginning and the one I've started to play MP for in the first place: the Slayer. It was like Christmas and I was a child with big, sparkly eyes clutching it's new, favourite toy. Then I took him to the first match and experienced the disapointment of the year, because I had no idea how to play him and the experience was sooo underwhelming.

- I also distinctly remember meeting two BSNers: Tupari with a Slayer and Deerber with an Asari Adept. And my jaw was wide open for a few hours after that!

Dying on wave 1 on Bronze was funny and sad and I miss it.

FBWGG was rampant. I remember bringing my Carnifex wielding AA into Gold, trying my best to keep up. Then I started using the GI Claymore and learned to kill everything before it got to the campers in the basement. After that I never looked back.

The introduction of Platinum occurred well after I was already a seasoned Gold Player. It was fun as a challenge and was necessary for maxing my manifest, but I hated the mixed faction boss spam (still do).

Drell Reave for days.

I played a lot of FBWGG for farming in the olden days, especially when friends weren't on.  The success rate for a pug on that setting was much higher than for UUG.

Platinum farming was more diverse and somewhat more interesting after it came about.  Original Glacier Platinum Cerberus farming was in various ways easier than the geth on old white, partly because it coincided with newly released powerful characters and weapons.

After completing my manifest with a long slog of rocket farming new Glacier with friends for the better part of a month, farming was dead to me.

I really miss the demo days. Days, when pugging gold and actually beating it felt like a huge success. That's because it was so rare back then. 9 of 10 matches ended before wave 10 and extraction.

I also remember doing lot of White/Cerberus/Silver games. The amount of sniping and headshots was glorious back then.

I remember playing GWG with my Krogan Soldier. The Krogan Soldier was frowned upon in those days because everyone else who tried to play em at the time either got killed trying to melee everything or just sucked with em. I figured out how to cause Fire Explosions. During that time, you cause a Fire Explosion, everything around said explosion would be instantly killed (Except armored targets of course.). Once I figured that out, I made friends with a lot of people lol! Hell, I even remember rolling with the top 10 on Xbox for awhile. It was awesome.

Today, all I play is Platinum rounds and I always try to teach the new and I've made tons of friends who still has the same passion that I do for this magnificent game. Here's hoping that ME:A blows ME3 MP out of the agua ^.^

I remember my first Gold match, Firebase Giant Reapers, vanilla with a human infiltrator, to this day I don't know why I used an infiltrator before I got the Raptor rifle, I couldn't make headshots if my life depended on it. I basically spent the whole match bounding from cover to cover as soon as my cloak recharged to revive teammates. We only made it to wave 5, at which point my teammates and I got shishkabobed by a bunch of love hungry banshees.

Of course for a while PUG groups hated me because I was one of "those people" running a novaguard before they were nerfed, then later krogan vanguard simply because I loved hearing people's reactions when enemy units were knocked across the map.

Farming was always dead for me. I play to enjoy or get out. Leave the farming to the farmers. There's grills and booze out there that need reaping for the next cycle.

First bronze solo was accidental; just trying out a new kit. Same for first silver solo. First two gold games and all five platinum games were accidental; lobbied for silver, and was dumped into higher games underway. First time, died three times in a quarter minute, and bugged out. WTF???

My first Gold solo was accidental too. But my game not giving credit for it was no accident. Working as intended TM.

FBWGG, FBGGG.

Salarians were gods in those days...

Pyros being grabable, hunters not as aggressive, and just before Retaliation, 3 primes on wave 9.

My first plat was QMI Indra. It was chaos, but that failed banshee challenge prepared us. And still unlocking new guns! Good times.

When I first started, I couldn't get all the necessary DLCs to take hold.  No Collectors, all the original maps, and a very small MP playerbase.  So small that I was used to searching for games set to U/U/U -- since there was really no such thing as even Gold games among the un-maxed DLC scrubs.

Then I got my DLCs in.  Searched U/U/U and landed on FBW.  Killed a Brute and saw a "Juggy" team-mate; figured I'll stick close and scope the situation.  Only that Juggy was a Prime who quickly dispatched of my low level arse.  So I bailed that instant, realizing what Plat really meant.  And that I did NOT belong.

Since I'm in my late pug days, I'm qualified to post here...

I will never forget my first shinny moment; topscoring with violet level 10 Shuriken II HFA in my first silver game.

Back when Krogans were spirited with rich traditions.
Being overjoyed when seeing another krogans, the krogan engages in the traditional krogan bonding ritual, being a 5mins headbutting session in between each wave.

FBWGG farming oh and the reave sound of course, the sound of drellstep in my ears was the best thing I've heard, and it boost morale too that's why the success rate of pugs on gold was higher than as opposed to now.
