Drack, the first gay/bi Krogan  It's Bioware after all, there's a first for everything, look at Krem.

I'm cool with that, so long as Drack is only sleeping with other Krogan.

Krogan should never be LIs for a human character of any sexual preference. Anything other than an alien that looks very similar to humans as a LI, is a bit weird. Even Garrus was dangerously close to Furry territory.

Bioware, Han, Bioware lol It's the gaming version of Disney. I half expect Rey will go Lesbi in Ep 8 or 9 lol. As for Drack, I don't care either way, be interesting regardless. Now that I think of it... wouldn't a human - dwarf romance be the same as a man/woman falling in love with a rock? Being children of the stone?

Um. I'm confused. What precedent with Disney movies makes you think they're more likely to include gay characters than not?

Only if you're really, really literal.

Drack should be OP.

He should have the attitude of Wreav.

The determination of Wrex.

The gleefully destructive nature of Grunt.

The temper of Kredak.

The wisdom of O'keer.

And be voiced by James Earl Jones.

You need to read less fanfiction, or more of mine anyway...either or.

Don't reply, because I don't want to cause derailment, not my intention *face palms*. All I'm saying, is Disney connects with it's viewers with each generation, slightly better than most movie studios. Same for Bioware, they're both fairly lax companies. Both companies have/had openly LGBT staff and actors. So they aren't uptight about it. As for Rey, I was just saying I wouldn't be surprised if she was Disney's first Lesbian character. Because Ep 7-9, are set for a new generation, namely, our children. Who will likely grow up LGBT, and will look towards favorite shows for role model. Like children sometimes do. Hell, I remember boys dressing as Luke, wanting to save Princess Leia. I wasn't saying Disney has gay characters (yet or any we're aware of), just how lax they are, that it's bound to happen.

I wouldn't count on that, at least in the case of their SW cash cow. LGBT behaviors have only just started being accepted in the most liberal/progressive societies on Earth, and not even among a vast majority of the population. Star Wars has markets like the US, Russia/Eastern Europe, China and pretty much all of the developing world to consider, where such things would very much tank revenues or even merit a ban/ censored version.

Biower games can get away with it because their market is far more niche. Hundreds of millions to billions of people haven't played ME or DA. They aren't cultural icons.

However, this doesn't preclude the possiblility of Disney pushing pro LGBT messages in other, more narrowly targeted media.

I wish to have the option to recruit everyone before the first big mission in-game. However, I am not against the option to have some characters available under certain conditions only.

ME1's style where you pretty much have all your party members by the end o the first act would be nice.

A big problem with ME2's massive squad is... There is literally not enough missions to go round between them

There is a big posibility that one of the starting Squadmate is a AI companions.

Something I'd like to see is the player character NOT be already in charge of everything, like how Shepard was merely the "XO" (second-in-command) in ME1.

That way, you could have someone else in authority give the player an order to investigate something or other:

"I need you, Cora, and Drack to investigate the engine room of the Ark!  We haven't heard from them in some time and their radios seem to be down."

- Who's Cora?

"She's a biotic, one of the best on the ship.  She can help lock things down if the gravity generator is out.

- Who's Drack?

"A krogan, and a tough one at that.  He's one of the best mechanics on this ship, so if something's wrong with the engine, he'll know how to fix it."

- All right, I'll find them.  We'll make sure the ship is safe.

"That's good to hear, now find out what happened and report back ASAP."

- I don't need them, I can handle this on my own.

"I appreciate your confidence, but this isn't a solo job.  Find out what happened and report back ASAP."

The idea is that you and your starting companions are more-or-less thrown together on the spot.

It's also an easy way to put in dialogue for the player, to let them find out more about who's who, as well as establish a precedent for Paragon/Renegade leanings.

I really want to have a large amount of freedom and hope pathfinders are much more informal. Don't want to be under strict orders from a superior. Fuzzy directives please.

The Andromeda location wasn't leaked in the survey. People recognized the general shape of the galaxy map in that early-concept footage Bioware released 2 years ago, in "Charting a Course - Developing the Next Mass Effect".

First I have heard that, honestly, I don't recall the early-concept footage talking about Andromeda too much. I could be wrong though.

I'm pure Krogan I barely know how to read. But if you need a an orbital cannon or a combustion manifold installed, then we got this.

Yeah, the bloated ME2 cast was a huge turnoff for me.  There were a bunch of characters (especially Kasumi and Zaeed) who I just never used outside of their recruitment and loyalty missions.  I'd much prefer the cast to be closer to the ME1 and ME3 size.

I don't necessarily need them to all show up at the end of opening area, though.  I actually disliked that about ME1.  By the time you leave the Citadel, you have every single character except for Liara.  It's also one of the reasons why I never recruit her right away.  I don't mind it being spread out a bit.  That aspect (the fact that you couldn't recruit all of the ME2 squaddies until after half way through the game) was something that I appreciated.

They aren't confirmed. But the prospect of a buxom blonde and bruising female brute of a krogan is highly likely.

I want all of the companions to be available to us in the first act. I don't want to be recruiting companions late in the game again.

I did not mind the recruiting, but I didn't like how we got the remaining half of our team (in ME2) in the middle of the game.

Star Wars didn't have any gay or lesbian characters for decades (until Yuhani, kind of). I think there was a guideline for writers that told them to avoid that topic.

I'd be all in favour of Rey being lesbian, but that's offtopic. ^^

I'd prefer a game where we have almost all out squadmates right from the start, with maybe one or two new recruits during the first arc (think SG-1 and Teal'c). If the devs wanted to do something funny/weird/experimental, they could always give us a temporary companion for a single mission.

I certainly don't want a repeat of Legion. The best companion in the game, and you had, what, 2-3 missions to actually use him before you had to save your crew or see Chambers melt

Then again, I suppose it's still better than locking the best companion in the game behind day 1 DLC...

I like the idea of being part of an actual squad (rather than a band of strays) and them all being available pretty soon after the game starts so that they feel like a squad.

Beyond story considerations I think whenever you have a gameplay element which is  based on letting the player choose their approach the options should open up quickly so that they have those options for the majority of the game. Rather than staggering them for the sake of progression but in doing so denying them choice for the bulk of the game.

You had one mission after the Derelict Reaper before the Collectors abduct the crew and you have to go after them or lose half. So basically after activating Legion you had just enough time to do his loyalty quest.

They never had the best companion locked behind Day 1 DLC.
