In just over a month it'll have been four years since ME3 was released, and in an official capacity what we've had in that time has been one trailer. ONE. TRAILER.

Idk about you guys but this Mass Effect fan is thirsty for some delicious Andromeda T.

As a fan of Dragon Age I also think it's fairly strange that by this time in its release cycle we'd seen a lot more of Inquisition than we have Andromeda. I'm glad they're taking their time, I'm super happy they seem to be being extra-thorough with dev time and I hope they make the best possible Mass Effect experience they can, but show us a little bit of it please!

I'm so thirsty ;-;

Well, I believe the lack of information is because of how people reacted to Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.  That has given me the outlook if I have to skip all that drama on the forums by not having any information prior to release it is a good trade-off.

It's already been 4 years?! Zomg... Feels like yesterday! I'm still playing the multiplayer... >.> Luckily, this time around, I actually have something to occupy my wait! I'm not in any hurry to get my hands on ME:A, because I haven't finished Fallout 4 yet, and I headed out on the distant worlds expedition in Elite, and that's going to take a while... Hopefully the 6 SRVs I brought are enough to last me from inhabited space and back! I'd hate to find a wonderful planet, and not be able to land on it, 65,000LY away from Sol! Yieks! :S Then, after that, still gotta get around to Undertale, and finishing up my Keeper stuff in Isaac, AND, I've still gotta finish my base in Ark.... Got a lot ahead of me!

Edit: Oh, speaking of Spongeboob Squirepants, anyone got that .gif of when Spongboob and Rick were rubbing their eyes all over Mr. Krabs secret treasure map? That's the .gif I'd post for how the OP'd react to new ME:A footage. XD

That's not something I'd thought about actually, I suppose negative reactions in the past could be keeping them from releasing too much information? That or they're just meticulously planning how to release said information. I've certainly noticed the forum has a tendency to go nuts (in good and bad ways!) when anything is released, but I'm sure everybody's just ready to see a little bit more of the game at this point.

I'm just tired of the random clickbait sites hogging all the google news tbh XD. "christianpost" "latinohealth" "parentherald" - all these random sites that aren't even gaming related are posting year-old Tweets like they're news with clickbait headlines for hits, it's driving me nuts!

That reminds me of that one Korean site that was talking about Fallout 4 having a cyberpunk theme. (_-_)

Why is no news good?

No spoilers, of any kind. plus with no news or updates available, less likely the entire plot will be leaked like ME3.

Well, according to today's news (well if this post -and all the others I posted already- is approved by a mods today... maybe this post will show in 2 months or maybe never...), so today february 1st, that the game will finally be released on... feb/march 2017............................... U_U it was already hard to wait the end of 2016, so now it's 2017, amazing. I wish they could just confirm a real date.

As for the news, I don't want to see or hear too much of the game, I like to discover things by myself, but I would love to know the full squadmates list. It's my main interest for now.

Actually, if the plot is anything like ME3, I would prefer to know in advance so I can avoid the game.

Is it really coming by the end of this year? I am starting to feel a little skeptical.

For DA:I, long videos were made available one year before the game was released.

Until Bioware asys othrewise I'm going to assume that it is. Besides if it dosen't come then I won't be too disappointed because I know I'll be getting a great game that I'll enjoy when it does. Because tbh I've enjoyed all Biowares games lately

They rarely tell us anything about the plot since people were nuts with the release of the opening cinematic of Mass Effect 2.  The more recent thing would be to avoid what happened with Inquisition when content shown behind closed doors and labeled as "pre-alpha" is released and people expect nothing to change.

There wasn't any official video content for Inquisition aside from a couple of videos that were only a minute or two long before E3 2014 which was less then six months before release.  There was the video from Gamescon the summer before that, but that was never officially released by BioWare which is why I believe they are holding back anything to do with the game to prevent that from happening again.

On this I agree.

They can't have things both ways. If you release footage from early stages to increase hype and benefit marketing, you better be certain that

what you released is represented in game.

The fact that especially with DA:I the things that were shown and removed seemed more nuanced and interesting than what we got in the end, just made it worse.

I'm not saying they should release a pre-alpha gameplay, but they could at least drop some news or a new trailer to keep us interested in the game. I don't want big spoilers but I think they could reveal basic information about the protagonist, the story etc. MEA's marketing is non-existent and it worries me...

Bioware is probably starting to realize that they were starting their pre-release hype a bit too early with the last few games.   Best to wait and market it heavily a few months before release.     It ends up with much less drama after release.

Stuff like the pre-alpha video of Crestwood being different from final Crestwood doesn't bother me.  Stuff like ME3 just before release (and indeed, after release) having lines on the site such as 'radically different endings' and 'multiplayer entirely optional' are what gets me.  Fortunately, such things can be easily avoided even without 'total com-silence', but it would seem they're being extra-careful anyway.

As far as dates go, until the website gets a date on it, I tend to view any date with skepticism.

If CDPR verifies that little tease from December out CP2077 maybe coming this year, I'll be happy to get at least one or the other (CP2077 or MEA) in December ;P
