This is how the majority of the pugs that I play with seem to behave. And to that I'd add, doing revives.

BSN groupthink isn't right about everything.

On PS3 it's not rare to find those PUGs. I must admit that I only use gels if nobody can get me. I prefer to save my gels for emergencies. I also never have more then 70 gels so I don't have that much. On Gold I use common sense. If things are not too ugly I wait. Else I gel.

Searched for a Silver game this morning as I didn't have time for a Gold.

Got in a lobby but it was changed to bronze. I sent a message to the Host, which was a guy with 55k CPs, with the subject "silver", to see if he could change the difficulty.

 

He replies: "f you, I don't want to help you".

 

And I'm like "wut?!?!"

 

I really don't get some PUGs...

 

this reminds me of a day i played with my asari vanguard with my mic charging. I remember the great Pug fanmails i got that day.

why not just solo silver? I'm fairly sure if you don't even need hands to solo silver in less than 20 minutes.

He abuses me out of nothing and send me some unfriendly messages to leave his lobby.

I've tried to be gentle and asked for his problems - before I decide, he is not worse to waste any more time.

Recently I searched for a Gold lobby. Arrived with my level IV equipment and level V gear, level X weapon, and a solid character. Host took one look and switched the game to Bronze. But in my case, my reputation may have gotten around

Wow, after reading posts in this thread, I have to consider myself a lucky one. Because I don't think I have ever got totally hopeful PUG lobby. Yes, there had been one or even two not so good ones, but there had always been at least another competent one. And that's after way too many hours to mention here.

on tapic--- Actually the last 3 pug games have gone pretty smooth.....shockingly, last night I was in a game where we almost got 10 waves survived.. I can't remember the last time that happened with a group of randoms

This remembers me that talk between a female infiltrator and a vorcha on Silversun (Citadel DLC). She was complaining that she was sent to a mission with a bunch of random people and not a squad.

That conversation is exactly what happens in PUGs.

Maybe. 

I could explain exactly where that copypasta originally came from, but it would reveal far too much about the seedy underbelly of the internet I frequented in the early 2000s.  Secret Vorcha is a far better explanation.

This is why I host pugs or search gold. If you're doing Silver you might as well do gold now. They're quite identical these days but one gives you much more credits and EXP.

Silver is much easier than gold. There's no comparison. Silver collectors might prove a challenge but Silver reapers is too easy.

I still do alot of Silver solos...helps get rid of the horrible weapon challenges faster....There needs to be a much faster way to finish the melee challenge...1 million points is ridiculous. Even as a krogan on whatever difficulty vs geth....if all you do is just melee..without firing one single shot the entire match....it still takes way too long
