A city is hiding a terrible secret having being ( unwittingly or not ) built on top of an ancient cemetery or battleground from ages past , the ancients do not forgive this trespass , with countless dark-spawn arising to subdue and slaughter the living , facing impossible odds the Grey Wardens must stop the dark-spawn in their tracks , more darkspawn than ever before are attacking the living , even more than in Dragon Age 1 . Maybe the start to a DLC or part of the main quest in Dragon Age 4 , any ideas to add and flesh this out into a proper story somewhat like the Amityville horror but far far worse and maybe a rise to a crescendo as in Dragon Age 2 with the Qunari . Maybe in this situation the Qunari are our allies .
Dragon age 4 ideas.

Definitely want it to still be Open World, with mounts and fast travel intact, but with a little more intrigue while we travel the world. Instead of wide open unpopulated areas, there need to be villages and homestead scattered about. More npcs to chat with, not just for quest, but information or places to buy/sell. Also, maybe some side "flings", just for the fun of it. Non-committal, of course. This can only happen if you are not in a serious relationship though.
As for the romance part of the game, there needs to be a little leeway there. Just because I kiss someone, it shouldn't mean I want to spend the rest of my game life with them. Until I commit to sex with my chosen, I should be able to flirt with anyone I want. After I make the commitment, I would like for the romance to continue by being able to sleep with my LI and even have sex again, not just getting a kiss. For real.
As for gameplay, I want an Elven Uprising. I believe it's time for the elves to regain their heritage. It's time that they get a new homeland and quit getting treated like dogs. I believe Tevinter is the place to be. The Imperium has a lot to answer for. Anyway, Dorian, has to remain, because Gaider isn't going to give up his 'altered ego', so for all of you that romanced Dorian, you can get your drool on.
As for return characters, I want Solas, Varric and Cassadra back. For romance, I want a manly man to romance. From this woman's point of view, Allister was sweet and a virgin and you just couldn't help loving him. He was perfect for the beginning. Then in DAI, Cullen seemed like a repeat of Allister. I would like a man this time. One who knows how to romance a woman. And for goodness sakes, work on the romance dialogues. Add a woman to the team, so you get an idea of what a woman would want to hear. Would like for LI's to make the first move, for a change. I, too, would like to see my Warden again and would like it if they would get Allister right this time. I saw no resemblance to Allister in the one portrayed in DAI.
The Inquistor can return, but not as my character. The Inquistition needs to be, but I want to start with a new character.
There, also, needs to be a segment on the Grey Wardens. They will always be needed, because there are always darkspawns and blights.
Now since it is call Dragon Age, will there have to be dragons, Instead of us killing the dragons this time, maybe we should now be able to control the dragons. Make them allies. Maybe we can fly this time on our own dragons. Hey anything's possible. It's a game.
I would like the game to be open for mods. Mods like we had in DAO.
Would also enjoy have some emotes. Like Sit, Sleep, Invite my LI to sleep with me, Wave, Cry, Shout. I had beautiful quarters in DAI, but couldn't sit on my couch or sleep in my bed. What a wasted space.

I think we're likely to see Dorian again, but it won't be because David Gaider can't give him up - he left the Dragon Age team before Trespasser was made, and no longer works at BioWare at all. He moved down the road to Beamdog.
And for goodness sakes, work on the romance dialogues. Add a woman to the team, so you get an idea of what a woman would want to hear.
Um. The Dragon Age writing team has always had women on it. Several of the romances in DAO, DA2 and DAI were primarily written by women. Sheryl Chee wrote Leliana, Isabela and Blackwall, Jennifer Hepler wrote Anders and Sebastian, Mary Kirby wrote Merrill, Brianne Battye wrote Cullen and Sylvia Feketekuty wrote Josephine.

I would like to see a bigger focus on dragons. Not just killing dragons but perhaps, being able to tame dragons, ride dragons and possibly enter battle with your dragon.

Well, the game is set in the north, Antiva is not far from Tevinter, if they add Yavana as companion or advisor she could make Frederic blush for how much she knows about them.

I am 100% sure Tevinter will be in the next game. But come on, at least a portion of the game has to be set in more countries in Thedas. I personally hope to at least see locations like Weisshaupt in the Anderfels.

I also want to have a ship, we know too little about Thedas' oceans, Par Vollen it's an island and I think could be fun fight Qunari dreadnoughts.
It would be cool if Isabela was the captain of that ship and if we would find the Windline Marcher...

I also like the idea of unique race restricted specs as someone posted earlier. If we even get different races, that is. But if we do, I'd rather they have -them- explain racial stuff to others rather than appearing clueless about stuff they should've known for the sake of potential newcomers. When having them explain stuff, they will still feed info to new players and it won't annoy returning players as much.
Plus, more unique everything for the different races. I want to see different armor, different dialogue and especially different hair. 52 buzzcuts will be unacceptable next time around. The hairstyles should be varied, wearable, have better textures and preferably some unique racial options. Also, fix dem brows.
Neither would I mind if the map from DAO or DAII made a return. But I doubt that will happen since open world is the "it" thing at the moment and I'll probably be in the minority. Just make sure we don't lose the fast travel option. And maybe fill up the landscapes with more npc's so that it's not so lonely. (Especially if you have that gddmn banter bug.) I would also like to see every available land we get to go to, somehow gets tied in with the main quest line. I always thought it was rather stupid that some lands in DA:I just have no connection to the main story. Like, why would I even need to go there then? And side-quests are fine, but I want side-quests that have cutscenes and dialogue options. Plus it would be nice to see some concequence from quests you do. Even if it's only in ambient dialogue around you, like the news reports in ME after you did a mission.
There's probably more I'm not thinking of right now but I'm getting sleepy here.
