I hope you're saying that content should be created to appeal to everyone, and not that content should not be made for women and queer people. But regardless, not everyone likes the same thing, and it's not a bad thing to offer content that appeals to more than one type of player. It's the "I like it so everyone else should too" argument.






I don't think you understand the meaning of diversity. As a male player, I have hundreds of games to choose from if I want to play as my gender. Women do not have nearly that option. Plus people of color have a small amount, as well. Why is it bad if a player wants to play a game where they can insert themselves into the PC's shoes?

So if all games released starting today onward were to only have female and/or gay PCs, you would have no issue in playing them? You wouldn't be upset that you can't play a straight guy anymore? After all, you're not the PC, you're just playing the game.

This is exactly the point. The female character gets called a stripper and the male character doesn't.

Considering that sex work is illegal in many countries but it still goes on, these are not glorified consorts who pick and choose what handsome bachelor they entertain, but women flying under the radar trying to survive on the streets

I love Mass Effect, I really do, but I really get annoyed at some of the smaller details seen.

 

1) The camera constantly zooms in on Miranda's butt

2) Samara/Jack/Benezia wear incredibly revealing clothing for no real reason

3) There are tons of strip clubs throughout each game

4) In ME3, almost every woman/asari is wearing a dress

5) Female krogans are covered head to toe

6) A consort is seen as a position of high honor

7) Apparently having sex with Jack/Miranda solves their personal issues

 

 

 

It all comes off as rather misogynist, Mass Effect 2 in particular. It's like BioWare subscribes to the idea that beauty and sex empower women, and that there is nothing wrong with sex work.

If you're not a child then grow up, look at what the men wear and how they look, tight t-shirts, perfect muscular physiques (I'm ranging most likely 6-8% bodyfat at around 200+ pounds on average which is basically unattainable to the average man, but that's right let's just overlook that minor detail because everyone hates women wahhh) not to mention male shep's facei s actually that of a real life model.  See, me and most other guys don't actually care about things like that, we'd rather focus on the character development and gameplay not the cosmetics of characters like you people seem to do.
