I know this is silly, but I have completed, what I though was a completionist run on this game on PS3 (I have played through the game 3 times at least and am in my second game on PS4 but there are, embarrassingly, a few things I've only just discovered about the game.  Here are some things it took me a while to realise:

- How the focus metre builds took me 2 playthroughs and turning on companions focus skills took me one playthrough to figure out.

- That it is possible to actually save all of the people in Haven.  I was under the impression that you had to sacrifice certain individuals (or should...Seggritt).

- That each Camp location offers a different requisition (save for two camps in the Exalted Plains) and you'll get repetitive requisitions if you keep asking the same camp requisition officer.

- Finally, that there is a kitchen in Skyhold and that the Bottles of Thedas you find are stored there and I literally just discovered this this weekend on my, what, fifth playthrough!

I have no idea why it took me so long to realise these things.  Anyone else have anything that seemed obvious that they didn't discover for a while?

You should explore places more, when it comes to the bottle collection :P

The bit about requisitions, neither I knew, however. Interesting... Especially if reloading with a single Requisitions Officer can give you different ones.

And as for Seggritt... Just sacrifice the racist bosh'tet. He's not even grateful for the rescue.

@Serza  Funny, I explore every location with a fine tooth comb except my own home base!  I discovered the requisitions thing after going to the same officer several times in the Hinterlands for the influence points, only to realise (at least in my case - possible it was patched), that they offered only one requisition request and I could no longer fill it as I'd dealt with the Templars and Mages, so no longer had a source of the materials for the cages.  I now only go to each camp requisitions officer once to ensure I don't have opened quests/requisitions.

As for Seggritt, yeah, I did just leave him to burn in one playthrough and never regretted it, but wanted to see if there was truly a way to save them all.  Found a way in my little rush forward mage move.  Was able to save everyone, and in return I get to listen to him moan!

Hmm. Might a behaviour previously unknown to me for whichever reason. Let us face it, it is unlikely I tried with perfectly same conditions.

I know exactly what you mean. I played it several times before discovering new things myself. Suddenly after several play troughs, Id find out something which had never happened to me in the previous play throughs or Id learn a  new way to do something specific.

I've played the game five times and only now discovered the skeleton + a loot sack on a rock above the Stone Dreams cabin in Hinterlands. It's interesting to find something new, especially since I usually go through all the places with a fine-tooth comb, so to speak. I wonder how I managed to miss that one.

@Chardonney  On my second playthrough, I found the giant skeleton in Emerald Graves (I think) with the motherlode of cheese accompanying it.  Love finding things like that!  Boy do Bioware love their cheese!

You mean the skeleton, cheese and cards behind the house in Crestwood? That was funny. Everytime I find cheese in this game it makes me laugh. And I loved that snowman in JoH and those wine bottle hugging skeletons around in Hissing Wastes. What a way to go.  :D

@Chardonney  Don't know that that's the one.  It's a giant skeleton and I was certain it was in Emerald Graves, basically at a point of no return.  Once you jumped down to it  you couldn't easily get back up.  I'll have to check and see though.

I'm playing my fourth game and found a villa in the woods in a area I never explored  before, found a small camp of baddies in a hidden area and built watch towers. I'm learning more in my fourth game then I did the first three. DA:I is a awesome game in its own rights.

And yes I enjoy the horse.

I have 18 playthroughs. All on the ps3. The last time I played the game was in October.

I've done a couple of completionist playthroughs. I've done a speed run. On the ps3 I consider it a speed run.

Each playthrough I've always found something different. Whether it was hearing different dialogue, discovering a new location or being able to defeat an enemy without taking any damage.

One of the best things I've discovered is when to recruit the companions, particularly Sera and Blackwall. If you recruit Balackwall after getting to Skyhold, his dialogue is different. If Varric and Cassandra is in you party, they will have added dialogue when talking with Blackwall. With Sera, she will sound mad that you waited to recruit that late when talking with her at Skyhold.

At the moment I don't recall if there's anything of significance, dialogue wise, when recruiting the others after getting to Skyhold

English not my first, second, or even my third language so sometimes I get confused. In my first pt I was trying to romance both Casandra and Josephine. After that I enter to undercroft and I hear Dagna says to me “Mix and much pick your v...e (female genitalia)”. And I thought wow this game knows everything about me. I also thought that Antiquarian warns me every time about shipment of invisible nuns. Yes invisible nuns skulking around in Black Emporium, than I thought wait… nuns? It can be right. So yes learn something new every day.

I'm on my... 15th? playthrough and I didn't know there was a skeleton and a loot sack above that cabin. Now I do.

Recently, I found that if you jump down straight down from the ledge where you get Wedge of Destiny, you find the See/Hear/Speak No Evil monkeys, and the Speak one has a wedge of cheese in its mouth.

There's one near the dragon (somewhere in the area where you can see an abandoned campsite and red tents, if I remember right), along the edge of cliff. There's a short shallow ravine that led to the ledge with the giant skeleton, along with a pile of bones and a giant sack.

@ObsidianGryphon  That would be the one.  Thought I remembered it being out there!

I realized that there was an arrow stuck on the roof above Skyhold's garden right before the end of my 4th playthrough...

@MaxQuartiroli  I only realised this after a couple of playthroughs as well, and likely would not have noticed it without the help of YouTube!

Wow. Another thing I've missed. I'm on my sixth playthrough right now (my very first female qunari) and as soon as I get to Skyhold, I'm definitely going to go check out those monkeys. :)
