What is with you people and your shield drain builds? I prefer to one-hit shadow strike phantoms..

she is squishy, wasting cyclonics on her is bad mkay, might as well make a biotic charge that deals tons of damage and doesn't make every enemy want to slap your arse. it's efficient like creating the most mobile and agile tank kit in the game. not everything equates to dealing damage with glass cannon characters who eat all of your medigel and cyclonics, that's my opinion though.

Fine...my destroyer of all things build: http://kalence.drupa...!33J56343!F.8E9

there was a point in my ME3 life, when I only played the Shadow for 4 consecutive months...this works against every faction....Yes, it is squishy...but it makes you reassess your decision making......You become a better hunter with this build...You can one hit kill every single under-boss with shadow strike....as well as destroy every single boss in a matter of seconds.....once you get the hang of this build..you become a pure death dealer

This is the same build i tried out on gold versus collectors except that I skipped the 6th evo in passives and instead went for 3 ranks in electric slash. You really do a lot of damage with melee and I wasn't even using fully optimised gear although there were a couple occasions when I was instantly killed by enemy fire when it comboed with something like a seeker swarm or scion grenades. Also I was running around a lot on shield gate but my damage output was impressive!

Like I mentioned....this build makes you really think about target selection.......versus say..cerberus..I would target nemesis, goons & phantoms.....vs collectors..like you said.....I would go after captains, scions (be sure to back dodge after the 1st shadow strike)  ......My build is created to maximize shadow strike damage...as well as take care of anything else that cant be shadow striked....(fun-luvin atlases)...fun luvin is not the real word....What I am trying to say is..with my build...you have to really be patient on what target you pick.....yes..you will get 2 shadow strikes on 1 cast...but...what enemies have spawned in the area you have targeted?....It really is fun & high damage yielding once you get the hang/rhythm of it.

This sums up my playstyle pretty well. I run her full melee, and you really have to learn to pick your fights. If you try to be in the thick of things with your teammates, you will die and have a wretched time. Equip adr mod, and go zipping around the outskirts of the skirmish, looking for single targets. That's what makes her such a monster vs. Cerberus: they like to spread out, and she just annihilates single mooks.

I like that she provides a different playstyle from most other kits, and she is one of the (very) few kits where I will be happy to get Cerberus.

Don't rely solely on SS either: learn when it is better to use heavy melee, which decapitates and can damage multiple targets, at the cost of no shields back and ending TC.

That's exactly what I do - I just use a HVB instead of smart choke on the wraith. And I usually go with Juggernaut shield gear.

I was going to offer some opinions last night, but most of what I was going to say has already been covered by you, and I approve heartily of your build and playtips.  But I kinda feel obliged to point out that it is entirely possible to kill (even on-host) Phantoms in a single, instant SS, even with the 6b option. This is one of my absolute favourite builds in the game -

http://kalence.drupa...33J56314!0.9E8G

I switch between 6a and 6b sometimes, and usually have to wonder why I'm dying more frequently, but it has no bearing on how I deal with Phantoms.  I hate Phantoms. I want them dead. Now.

With regard to the discussion on duration cloak, she is the single Infiltrator on whom it makes sense, as her relevant dps is relatively unaffected if you play her right (ie not running around in cloak all the time), and you get to be the hero from time to time with devices and revives. Otherwise, she is a surgical, tactical assassin, with a great big armour-melting shotgun for those rare occasions when she needs to shoot. (And yes, OP, the Disciple actually works too) Also, Geth Scanner may be a better piece of Gear, especially if you're not hosting, as the targeting of SS may need all the help it can get.

Melee Shadow: For those moments when you kill the bosses with a melee strike.

Anyone done in 2 bosses in one HM? I haven't, yet. Is it possible? Because distance and that?

You can make it not such a risky build by switching to Duration in Cloak.  Might be better for people trying to get the hang of the build... but maybe not as much fun?

I either use a Wraith with HVB and Blade (with any ammo you want) or a Piranha with Choke/Blade and AP ammo.  Lesser shotguns work fine most of the time, but Praetorians and Atlases are a PITA to take out with a wimpy shotgun if your teammates have all decided to step into spectator mode to watch you.

AT-12 Raider with omni-blade and smart choke works exceptionally well on her.

I bet it does. Hell yeah. But it's not golden. And Hattori Hannah goes in and out with style.

Strategy for brutes:

I figured out a good strategy for them, since brutes are telepathic and deal damage when you are withing melee range even when not aggro'd it's best to SS them once then dodge, make them charge or attack then dodge it and SS in the middle of their slow animation, I call it Dancing with brutes

taking advantage of how the brutes react to you in melee range will help you out maneuver and kill them without breaking your shields.

Yup that's exactly how I I deal with brutes with a cqc character. This is why the Valkyrie is my favorite character in game because there's it's such a fast paced kit and you're a walking biotic boom of death!

With the N7 Shadow I use this build http://kalence.drupa...!34556364!F38B8

The upgrades in Tactical Cloak will allow you to do 2 shadow strikes in a row. As SS is considered melee damage, I strongly advice to focus on that aspect of this character, both in the upgrades and in the equipment.

Beware, she's quite squishy!

Hope this helps!

Melee Shadow: For those moments when you kill the bosses with a melee strike.

Anyone done in 2 bosses in one HM? I haven't, yet. Is it possible? Because distance and that?

The most mooks I've gotten is three. I haven't had too many bunch up too often. Haven't seen any bosses get that close to each other at all. Standing next to each other, two Atlases or Brutes are going to be too wide for a Heavy Melee. I tend to not melee Banshees and I haven't seen Primes do that, really.

My own build:

http://kalence.drupa...!13556314!0.8DA

I play Silver a lot though I have managed to get through a few Gold matches using it. I've used ES before, but I found after awhile I really don't use it all that much and the weight reduction works for me. This is one of the infiltrator builds that I notice cooldowns on for some reason. I use duration for all my infiltrator builds, mostly because I don't use it for damage, I use it to move around.

This is a lone assassin build. Avoid standing next to teammate. Especially those engaging Scions. Use the speed boost from Sword Mastery and adrenaline module to run around the battlefield under cloak and kill off mooks until the wave budget is expended. On Gold the ones with shields/barriers tend to survive a heavy melee so shoot them in the face with the shotgun while they're staggered. Shadow Strike various enemies to teleport around the battlefield or kill Phantoms. On Gold they will survive the initial strike, but the DoT will kill them. The pistol is my habit of wanting a long-range weapon. Discard if you like.

In general, hit and run. She's a sneaky gal whose enemies should only know she's been there after their buddies' heads fall to the ground and she's just run around a corner out of sight.

Scions seem to die pretty easily to a Shadow Strike + Heavy Flaming Sword combo on Silver. On Gold you'll probably want to Shadow Strike, Heavy Melee and then run away, let your TC cooldown and then finish it off with another Shadow Strike.

You can initiate a dance with them by triggering their melee and getting out of their range until they change their behaviour again. Since they are slow they tend to be isolated with little trooper support. Keeping them occupied should allow you to finish the TC CD.

You're not squishy if you use Duration Cloak and Bonus Power.  You can use it to escape from almost any situation with minimal issue.

Yes, this is how I do it.  SS, then Heavy Melee, then cartwheel backwards as they start swinging at you and open up with your shotgun.  If you have a reasonable cooldown, you should be able to cloak again by the time the Scion is ready to start shooting again (if the Scion is even still alive by then, SS+HM can do a crapton of damage), and you can decide what to do from there.
