No. Simply because my favorite playthrough romanced Tali. And in my head *my fan fic*, they adopted a little Asari and baby Krogan (they lost their parents in the Reaper War). So it wouldn't work.

I am fine with a human only protag.

Race options would be great for the new ME game but sadly there is not.

No, I don't want a Skyrim protagonist and no protagonist storyline, thank you. Any of you put any thought into game development time and budget? Be realistic.

In SWTOR, alien or human barely make a difference. Only some unique dialogue changes but relatively everything is the same.

It was boring especially if the protagonist is just this one person.

That won't happen since Harbinger killed the asari. Excellent

Human protagonist for Andromeda.

I liked the Inquisitor well enough...she certainly offers more variance than most other Bioware protagonists in the past. Unlike in Mass Effect there are various conversations throughout the game which expand on your background. Like with Josephine I can state how well my character got on with his family (something I couldn't do as Shepard for example), I can mention that my mage inquisitor had a massive crush on a Templar when he was back in the Ostwick circle but never acted on it, I can state to Cassandra whether I consider the circle my home and would gladly go back to the free marches, even a conversation with Vivienne about what my relationship was with the First Enchanter at the Ostwick Circle...and so on. So naturally I'm disappointed that there's no race selection.

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised there is so much hate towards the Inquisitor.

I never really found any of the ME alien races all that interesting besides the Geth so I really couldn't care less that we aren't getting race selection in Andromeda.

I never got passed the Hinterlands. So I can really comment on the inquisitor.  However, I did see enough of the story through lets plays.  And from the people playing them..  The story seemed... Eventful... Maybe I'll watch another LP to change my mind.

But Shepard is my favorite PC.

Not the Hinterlands, the place where Inquisitors go to die.

I admit, part of me would love to play as a wise-ass, skull-cracking former Asari commando, or a Turian scientist, or a Krogan, or whatever, but given the file size of the install that that would generate (different effects for the different gender voices for the most part), I'm fine with it being human.

One thing I would like them to do is allow a slightly more nuanced range of emotions in context, as the clunky Paragon-Neutral-Renegade choices felt bad half the time.  Even my most Paragon playthrough of the trilogy took renegade options here and there.  Use the entire wheel for crying out loud!  Give us more choice to have a character that is emotionally shaded, with some things provoking a strong positive/negative reaction, others not so much, but as we decide.

Another thing, creating a brief 'Biography' from a list of options in separate categories at the start that are referenced and can be explored with dialogue and such in the game.  ME1 had the small side mission that depended upon your character's 'background'.  Such personal dialogue made me feel like my choices within the game mattered, even if it was tangentially.  Putting meat on the bones, so to speak.

My husband's playing DAI again right now. I keep having to remind him "Don't do any quests you don't WANT to. This isn't freaking Ubisoft and you don't have to chase feathers. Let it go."

He's STILL trying to be a completionist. I think I forgot just how much there was in that game. The dang thing's huge.

Curse the Hinterlands and the Hissing Wastes, it takes me forever to get out of those timesinks.

This is why I'm glad they included the level scaling option with the trials, so I can finally play DAI without being severely overlevelled, after having obsessively done every single thing in an area before moving on to the next.

Aw, I love the vast near-emptiness of the Hissing Waste! Figuring out the riddle of the dwarven tombs, making my way to that venatori camp, topping it off with one more epic dragon fight. Although I can see why people don't like it, sure.

I often wondered, what if they had combined the Hissing Waste, the Western Approach, and the Forbidden Oasis into one area and had a day/night transition at some point, like in Crestwood.

The thing that made the Hissing Wastes one of my favorite regions was the skybox. The starry sky with the huge moon illuminating the dunes was just absolutely gorgeous.

Agreed. The night sky was a huge part of its beauty. I loved looking out into the distance and seeing a few scattered lights here and there, maybe a rift way way off, and one of those giant monolithic landmarks.

The protagonist will be human.

But it'd be interesting to have Shepard's / Liara's daughter included somewhere in the cast. Wouldn't have to be part of the squad mates, could be a scientist on the Ark, or something along the lines. I wouldn't mind to see that happen at all as a form of 'nod' (and homage) to the original trilogy, and obviously to Shepard. The thing is I doubt that there's going to be save files imports this time around. If they don't do it for Andromeda then only BioWare's "canon" will count, meaning that if there's no save files imports for Andromeda and they actually do include Shepard + Liara's daughter in the game (anywhere), then believe me a lot of Liara / Asari haters will cry an ocean about it (even though we pretty much all understand that BioWare's 'canon' choice for a love interest for Shepard has pretty much always been Liara, especially considering that she can't really die, save for that beam run in ME3 I believe; and that might have been removed in the Extended Cut version I'm not even sure).

But yeah anyway, the protagonist is going to be a human, and unfortunately my gut feeling is that he/she s'going to be freakin' Cerberus (or "Ex" Cerberus).

Yep

The tomb of Fairel is my favorite quest

I would include sandstorms

I would include sandstorms

I can see it now...

Bull: That storm looks a lot bigger than it did half an hour ago...
Varric: Pretty small for the Waste, actually.
Cole: The thought flies through her mind like grains of sand in the wind: So are you, Varric!
Bull: *roars laughter*
Sera: What? I never said-
Varric: *hefts Bianca* Say 'what' again, elf.
Sera: *glares daggers at Cole*
Cole: I was only trying to help.

Seriously, though, sandstorms would be cool, like those times when you go out of bounds in the Forbidden Oasis, or the toxic fumes of the Western Approach.
