JoH > Descent > Trespasser

Do them all after the main quests. The huge detours involved for JoH and Descent just don't make any sense with Thedas in jeopardy and Corypheus running around, especially since neither have anything to do with stopping him or the main storyline.

Play Hakkon and Descent in any order (there is no 'correct' order for them) with Trespasser last. Trespasser is the end end of Inquisition, so do everything you want before you start it.

You're supposed to do as Skarbrand said, it's the correct order.  However both JoH and The Descent are around 5 hours long each which is over twice the length of DA2 DLCs, and I found them to be a drag to play all at once.  When I replay, I'll do them in sections, beginning after I get to Skyhold so that I can space them out between other parts of the game.

I also like to do Trespasser straight after the end of the main game without any diversions, so that method works best for me personally.  However many other ppl prefer to leave them till the end so they can feel like their IQ had something to do in the 2 year gap between beating Cory and the events of Trespasser.

The only DLC with any kind of time restriction is Trespasser, which you can't even start until after the game is officially over. I like to do both JoH and Descent before What Pride Has Wrought because I feel there's a huge momentum going after WPHW and I can't justify dithering around in the Frostback Basin or on the Storm Coast with that hanging over everyone's heads, but I also don't like waiting until after Doom Upon the World to do them because I like having a chance to play with my new toys.

So I do everything up to defeating the guardian of the Solassan temple in the Forbidden Oasis, then do Descent, then JoH, then go straight to WPHW and DUtW.
