I believe you mean isometric view. There is a niche market for such games like Pillars of Eternity or Divinity: Original Sin. Some gamers (both hardcore and casual) expect more visually from AAA games.

It would be nice if DA:I just didn't have ass controls - DA2 didn't have a "real" isometric view but frankly that camera angle is comically overrated. It's the point and click control scheme and UI that's way more important, and DA:I lost it.

I agree that point and click is my preferred control scheme on a PC, but I have played enough games with kb & mouse that it does not bother me as much.

My problem is that DAI has no functional system to control group movement. Rather than selecting everyone to do a task - like move - you're stuck having to move individually and with just godawful pathfinding. Attacking as a group is counterintuitive as you have to use the group commands. I could lost further complaints.
