I'm sorry, I've been waiting to use that picture for a very long time.

Is more selfish romance someone and just break up with him because you prefer your new work
"Oh, you are the man I love!"
"Oh, I prefer be divine, see ya"
Is like she is playing with you.
Or she's being honest about herself and her goal of life and acting like an adult would in her situation.
Cassandra only learns she can be Divine after some major events in the game. She was a Seeker. She's served the Chantry all her life. She knows the corruption that's festering inside. And she is a true devout. She genuinely believes in the Maker and wants to serve Him. In her own words, she wants to "right what's wrong and do the Maker's work".
If your Inquisitor can't bear to be with someone who has the strength of character to fight for what they feel is right for them, for what will bring them happiness, then perhaps he shouldn't be with anyone at all.
That's what a relationship is about. Growing together. Helping each other achieve what's important to each of them.

Then she don't love the Inquisitor, she just love her work, I was right then.
And Cassandra really think she is doing good?
How exactly her idea of restore the circles are logical?
Was because of the circles that the war between mages and templar started, she is still distrust of mages because of her brother.
A Divine, as does her religion, must spare love and peace, not putting everyone in "righteous" and stubborn faith.
Do you want to turn this into a Templars vs Mages thread? I thought this was a troll thread.
Suffice it to say, Cassandra is a faithful woman who ardently believes in the Chantry. One of the Chantry's tenets is "members of the clergy are spiritually married to the Maker and thus must be celibate" and she does not intend to break it.
It's tragic but asking her to place the Inquisitor above everything else would be selfish.

Then as I was saying, her faith is sickening and she loves more the Maker than the Inquisitor
N it feel poor written lyk my charcater
Your character is ugly too.

So? In order for love to be love, people have to sacrifice ideals and dreams?

That's what wives used to tell their husbands when they couldn't go to college, have their own job, their own car, earn their own money, etc etc etc.
Thank God this is the XXI century.
And Cassandra really think she is doing good?
Yes. Thanks for asking.

That before the husbands knockout their wives for talking sh*t
Sweety, the romance of Cassandra is lose/lose.
You have to change your character to become the knight of her dreams, you are who you are, if she don't acept you that way then what she want is not you, is the IDEAL of a gentleman.
When you ask her to refuse if she is selected divine she evades you. And if she is chosen divine, she just dump you, what happened with "You are the men I love", she says that like 6 times in the game, and always with emotion, why do she is to eager to break up with you?, she can't handle the fact that she have a work and a lover?, is she that Neanderthal?
And if she isn't divine she is always running from you, "they were often separated by duty"
What duty would it be if I told her to don't rebuilt the seeker, if I disbanded the inquisition, etc.
What you win with Cassandra?, peace?, emotions?, real love?, someone you can trust and who is never going to dump you for a JOB!?
Yes. Thanks for asking.
Always a pleasure.

And now they are alone. Women graduate, earn a job and choose who they marry. Violent men tend to be abandoned.
If your Inquisitor actually changed who he was only to please her, then he should have given up on her and gone looking for a partner that better suited his tastes.
People don't change who they are just to enter a relationship. Your true character will surface sooner or later and you and your partner will be utterly frustrated with each other because you don't live up to each other's dream wife/husband (and vice versa). Everyone knows this.
What you do once you start a relationship is that you make small concessions to show your significant other you take his/her preferences into consideration. That's common during flirting and entirely different from giving up your true personality. But after that, both parties have to compromise so as to accept the other as he/she is, and not try to live up to your partner's ideal standards all the time.
It was your choice to go on with the romance. If you're so frustrated with her, then you'll be frustrated with many other characters who "require you change who you are" (which none of them do; it's always your choice to proceed with the romance or give up). Cassandra's not the problem. She does surrender unconditionally to the Inquisitor once succesfully romanced and carries on her affair even as Divine. She is an extremely loyal wife/lover, doesn't cheat on him and appreciates his romantic side. So I don't see what's the problem.
Any partner of hers knows beforehand of her dedication to her cause/her work. She won't give up her own life because of marriage. Sadly, there are women who fall prey to selfish men and make such a poor choice. Thankfully, she isn't one of them. If your Inquisitor doesn't want such a wife/lover, try other romances.

Not bad... not bad at all.. But that doesn't remove the fact that Cassandra loves more her faith and job than your character, than any character, If I play a dog who is obsessed with Cassandra, she is going to dump him either way to be divine, love is proven with actions, not with sweet words. The inquisitor is the one who fought for the relationship, what does Cassandra apart of distance from you or dump you?
Sorry, but she didn't give me a ring, a rose, change the rules of the chantry/leave her work to go with you to her house in the beach, an earring, a manifest and don't betray you in the fade, an emo voice, horns, die of cuteness, a.. money?, a cookie, a big gift
, well one of them more than give me things... he stole my heart.. and my arm, feel playing a game of Disney. (I never tried romance Dorian, nor Blackwall).
What she give you is a reject of Marriage, an "often separated by duty" or a break up.
Well:
1- Morrigan life is in danger
2- Everyone want to kill his/her mother in law
3- Morrigan is sexy, Cassandra is...
Disregarding your views on Cassandra's appearance, it is always good to stumble on someone who appreciates Yennefer and Morrigan in this sea of hate (hatred that can be justified nonetheless). Any chance of Ms. Lawson in your thoughts too?
Concerning the topic, I would not say that Cassandra disliked the Inquisitor, she simply had poor sense of timing. Someone else mentioned there was the context of Corypheus which brought up her past lover as a tale of caution in which she did not want to feel the same pain again, but I believe that mentioning Regalyan after their sexual intercourse was an awkward mistake to start the relationship with. If I would of done her romance, I would not object discussing the potential issue of the Inquisitor dying with her in a later date, however not during pillow talk. Also, as long as she remains by your side, marriage does not seem to be a necessity, unless you deeply care about its symbolism.

Miranda is best waifu.

Alright, alright. I get it. You are madly in love with Cassie, pretty much as most people who are lucky enough to try her romance. And she doesn't shower the Inquisitor with affection as much as some players would love her to.
I guess Bioware could've include tons of dialog and romantic scenes with our companions both in the main game and Trespasser and given the Inquisitor the option to have a more heartfelt conversation with them.
One of the things that bothered me in the romances in general was that, after you had a fight with your LI, you couldn't rekindle the romance. You were either forced to agree with your LI in some point you felt strongly about or it was hasta la vista forever, baby. This felt unrealistic, since couples go through a lot of fighting before they really know each other and settle into a comfortable zone. I believe that your complaint about Cassie kinda falls into this category. You're not the only one complaining about this aspect of romances, I suppose. Having to agree with everything for the sake of love is dreadful.
Maybe it's worth opening a new thread in the Lore/Franchise section making this suggestion?

If your Inquisitor actually changed who he was only to please her, then he should have given up on her
Personally, I believe that changing oneself to please one's significant other can be important and I heartily recommend it.
The Grey Warden and the Witch of the Wilds, the Chaste Templar and the Lustful Mage, etc.

The problem is that she actully refuse the marriage option:
- The last three years have been a joy, I cannot ask for more love or a better friend, but to take such a drastic step?, despite of the consecuences, or how it would be appeal, I fear what It might do to us. Do you not feel the same?
---- Various dialogues
- Now that you've brought it up, maybe we should get married
-- Perhaps one day, it would be a truly romantic proposal, and I will act very surprised
This dialogues show me that she isn't ready to get marry yet, claim such a love but have fear of being bound to the Inquisitor?, now that I am thinking about it, for Cassandra marriage must be a big thing because she is a strongly believer, swear to the maker love the Inquisitor maybe frightens her.
Is not about marriage of course, but at least if she accepts shows me that she is not going to break up with me 5 minutes later

I think they learned the lesson about the romances with all the complains about the Inquisitor looks like he is harrasing his employers

We need again sacrifices, SACRIFICES, like Alistair in DA:O, if you romance him, at the end of the game the fact that he is willingly to give his life to save you (and because he think he owes it to Duncan), even if he is a king, show you that you are special to him, Zevran, Leliana, Morrigan, Merril, Isabela, they are characters that you romance can change them, that Isabela stop being selfish and promiscuous, Merril going against her dalish history to romance a human, Zevran refusing sex with everyone if your warden died.
God, in Trespasser, if you romanced Josephine you just appear in the Exalted Council without an arm and she isn't even surprised!, Cassandra even smiles!

What does that mean Cass, you are not worried about my arm?
Isabela ain't ever gonna stop being promiscuous.
This is why I can never bring myself to flirt with Harding. ![]()
Your character is ugly too.
Isabela ain't ever gonna stop being promiscuous.
But... at the end of DA:2 she told me she loves me... Well... if she is having sex with others I hope she imagine them with the face of my Hawke. True love ♥
Puhuhuhuhuhuhu! Just like your mum.
Seriously though, that's the best you can do?
Moron.
When you do her she imagine you are Regalyan!
So? In order for love to be love, people have to sacrifice ideals and dreams?
Leliana doesn't. Cassandra does. Both are women who are involved with the Chantry.
Which means Cassandra is a woman who does value her work more than her loved ones.
IMO, Leliana is the best Chantry female romance option.
Cassandra is just...well...When someone puts their ideology above the ones they claim to love... ![]()
