I've been playing DA:Inq for weeks now.  I have enjoyed it thoroughly until I get to Emprise du Lion and the idiot of a developer who decided to put a note on the second floor of the lyrium destroyed house should be shot!  It's there but it's nigh on impossible to get, time sink a$$bag.  Console controller + jumping on a thin strip of lyrium to land on a thin piece of platform.  I hate you right now.

To the developer that put that note there by the chess board:

I sincerely hope you go to hell and when you get there, you are made to get that note over and over for eternity.

What are you talking about? Post a picture about it.

Also not very nice to create an account just to come here and shout bad words like that.

Actually, I know what he's talking about and I've never been able to get that note. It's up on the second floor of one of the ruined houses right after you talk to Michal de Chevin. If any of you know what I'm talking about, do you know what the note says?

It probably says, "If you are reading this, you have spent far too much time trying to get it."

Haha, I know the house and no, never been able to get it. Clearly not worth the bother =)

And here I thought you hated the people of the forums! That would've been a severe Capt'n Obvious situation.

Good rant and I agree, wait till you start chasing shards.  The sole purpose of some of these item placements is to make the player waste lots of time to stretch out the length of the game, some totally heinous item placements in the is game and 100% for sure a ton of them to justify the all mighty jump button.

I have been getting the shards too...  I hate being a completionist when there are obvious time sinks...

Here was the usual game play experience for me.

Fire up the game:  Okay what should I do, I will go this map, I can grab this shard just outside of camp, then move and get that other quest item, then go and get the unicorn horn for that quest then pick up those other two shards close by the unicorn horn.

In reality what happens, hmph can't get to that shard 1 pixel from my camp there is a mountain in the way, I'll just walk around the base a bit.  Okay there is a path going up here, (5 minutes of path walking)...I can almost see the shard, just have to make two jumps, made the 1st one this 2nd one looks a bit higher. jump,jump,jump.jump.jump,jump,jump,jump,jump,jump....can't get the damned thing!  Back down the mountain path, walk around the base of the mountain 3 times (1 hour of game play has gone by)....fug it~!  i will go get the next shard!

Come back days later and find the one totally obscure little moss covered path you have to eek up to finally get the shard.

Rinse and freaking repeat.

Ha. I had missed that one, well thanks everybody :P

Just went to get it, but didn't really have any problem in doing that... PC user tho, so dunno about consoles.

To me, what is more annoying is that useless collectible in Trespasser near the ramp of stairs where you find the Eluvian. You hav to go up the two stars which takes time, then jump and hope you land on the wooden thingie and that the character does not fall trough it, to loot it. had to do it like a million times. This note was nothing compared to that..

You must love the inaccessible loot in Redcliffe village and that thing overhead in Trespasser at the Winter Palace, which, even when you get to the sequence where you climb up the wall, you still can't even jump down to reach.

Sorry, I do graduate level inaccessible items. If you can get it by jumping, it's too easy.

I got the thing at the Winter Palace and it was a huge pain , you need to wait for some quest when you have to get to the first floor where there's a Eluvian , from some edge or balcony you can jump on the wooden thing (easier said than done of course!) then walk slowly to the item.Good times!

I think I got this note in 3 seconds when I tried to climb the wall instead of using the lyrium and jumping from the other platform.

Having to jump onto the buildings in Exalted Plains for those shards isn't fun either.  I shouldn't be frustrated by something as simple as platforming for a collectable.

I finally got that one during the last play through.

Clearly not an Operator. B)

I did intend to make a video on how to get every single shard. Then the game was six months out suddenly, and I thought nobody's gonna need the damn thing anyway.

Yes, please.
