Wishing death upon someone over pixels? Stay classy.

Having to jump onto the buildings in Exalted Plains for those shards isn't fun either.  I shouldn't be frustrated by something as simple as platforming for a collectable.

It's a good question -- how hard should jumping puzzles be?

Personally I think that jumping and puzzles in DAI are kids game compared to Tomb Raider. I've played that serie ever since it was first released and often it made me want to throw my computer out the window. In the end, though, it was actually half the fun.

I wasn't going to get either Jaws or Descent, but the GotY ed was on special so I grabbed it. Are the jumping requirements in Jaws on another level?

Yeah but DA has never been a jumping puzzle kind of game before. And the same button for jumping and interacting makes these types of things more difficult, sometimes. Honestly, all of the hard to reach collectibles and notes aren't fun, they're just time sinks.

A couple, anyway. OTOH, it might just be me being unable to see the obvious.

Of course, in the modern era there's no such thing as an insoluble puzzle unless your internet's out

Sorry, I do graduate level inaccessible items. If you can get it by jumping, it's too easy.

Hey, I didn't know you can jump on top of the Dwarven Booksellers stall! That gives me an idea ...

BTW, riding a Jumper is more effective than being a jumper. ;)

Surprised to see the mods haven't banned you for hostile comment at the game developers, yet.

The main problems for me with the jumping puzzles were controls (currently most games apply policy "fancy animations > normal control") and recognition of terrain (for example, there was difference between running along tree branches and street in the Assassin's Creed series).
