I posted on the DA facebook page jokingly asking when we would be getting merch in the form of Elven-to-english and Qunari-to-english dictionaries and phrasebooks and the mod or admin or w/e said 'Hey that is a neat idea you should post it over here!' They linked me to this page. I'm sure it is obligatory for them to do something like that but it cant hurt to post here.

I've always admired the elvish and Qunari words that the characters say Though I guess im a little slow because the words and meanings never really stuck to me. As someone who enjoys learning new languages I've always wanted to learn their languages.

I mean people enamored with Lord of the Rings get to learn the language and writing of their elves, why cant we?

I dont know how many people have visited the merch store but they have PORCELAIN BUSTS of Inquisition character (which they should absolutely do for the other 2 games as well)

Wouldnt this be a little more practical? I mean the franchise has its own fandom of people obsessed with these games and they're capitalizing on it with hoodies and busts but those can only last so long. People grow out of hoodies and eventually people are going to loo at their busts and think, "why in god's name did I spend 80$ on this video game paperweight?"

A dictionary, on the other hand, is something you keep all your life! Or even just a phrasebook would be really neat to learn from! My grandparents were born in the '20s and my family still uses a dictionary my grandma got when she was 12. I dont know about anyone else but i'd pay as much as i'd pay for any other dictionary for it. For a franchise with so much different merch this would be perfect!

I would definitely buy this! I want this more than anything else they could possibly sell.

There is a fan made page on the wiki (for Elvhen at least, I haven't looked for Qunlat) that could help if you want to learn, but I'm sure there are a few mistakes on there and parts of it are just guessing.
