You're literally the guy who wants to go against everyone.

Geez...

But I love the most used, most iconic music of the series?

I hope that they return to the techno music heard in Mass Effect 1 over the orchestra music in Mass Effect 2 and 3. I think it just went really well with the overall atmosphere of the world. Does anyone else prefer techno music over orchestra music?

For those who are still unconvinced, here are some of the examples of Techno music in Mass Effect 1.

Loved that Noveria tune so much when I first played ME1. Reaching Novaria was when I finally got super hooked to ME1 with no more turning back. Snow is one of my favourite themes. So that great beating snwo theme with that surreal music that just dug into your head did so much to enhance that atmosphere for me. Still my fave area in ME1. Why I always save it for last when I replay ME1. Thanks for telling everyone how amazing ME1 music is to enhance it's excellent atmosphere with one of the best examples possible.

Noveria song. My favorite part in Mass Effect. Loved the athmosphere and the architecture also in the business venue.
However, I DO like the orchestral music also so why just don't mix those?

BTW. I am such a fan of this series. almost had a tear in my eye listening that song after a very long brake.

Glad to see another fan of it.

I was not a big fan of ME1's soundtrack and preferred ME2 and ME3 over it by a wide margin.

The ME1 soundtrack works better for enhancing the game's atmosphere. As it should be. Playing it outside of the game doesn't work as well as it does for ME2 and 3. Every time I turn on ME1, right from the title screen and character creation screen, the music grabs me like no other. I want this feeling again for ME:A.

It might be interesting for them to go for a space western theme with the music, as they did in the trailer.

For instance:

I loved the track that plays during the Ilos battle in ME1.

While the track itself shouldn't return, I'd hope we get some similar synth heavy tracks during action sequences. On that note I also liked the track that plays during Mars mission in ME3.

I feel like ME1 had the most mesmerizing music in the entire series.

The first thing I noticed when I played the game for the first time was the music.

I always hum those while I'm fighting or exploring, Uch just so well made.

The soundtrack alone with the picture are so damn evocative.

I really hope they don't, I didn't dig Firefly's western feel at all. I think the comradery and crew feel is enough borrowed stuff from it. It was by far the best pieces from Firefly.

Not a one of those is memorable to me. I literally cannot remember any of them.

You're either lying or not a real Mass Effect fan. You can't remember Suicide Mission (the main theme of ME2, the best ME game) or TIM's theme? You don't remember Leaving Earth from the beginning of ME3?

ok

Depends on the tone and setting. Electronic music is great and all, but nothing can rise to the emotional peak of a piano. I won't lie, Leaving Earth at the beginning of Mass Effect 3 brings a tear to my eye every time. THAT PIANO. THE FEELS!!!

I also loved the soundtrack of ME2, with Suicide Mission, in particular.

Personally, I'd like to see a healthy mix of electronic and orchestral pieces depending on what is happening in the game. IT'S ALL GREAT!!!

No you're right, the piano gives so many feels. But it's so easy to recognize you're being emotionally manipulated, especially when in ME3's Leaving earth, all it does is use like, 4 different notes.

I don't know, maybe its just because I've played piano my whole life.

Ah, the old "no true Scotsman" fallacy. A well-worn fallback for mental midgets everywhere.

I love the ME1 soundtrack, I listen to M4 part II by faunts when I go to bed every night recently. I also loved ME3 soundtrack, those emotion songs, pulls at the heart strings.  For some reason though, I can't remember anything from ME2 lol

I personally hope tracks that sound like ME1 tracks make it into ME:A.
