How many different actions will be assigned to one button this time around?

Interact/take cover/sprint/climb/everything else.

 

There should be even more contradictory actions crammed onto a single button in ME:A. It's always fun when you take cover right next to that Banshee you've been dodging, or leap over the barrier you were trying to take cover behind, straight into a hail of bullets.

 

This is about MP by the way. SP will probably have the same controls, but who cares - you can just reload

I'm sure romance options will be tied to it too while getting banshee grabbed.

- Run

- Stop

- Talk

- Interact

- Bang Squadmate

- Shoot

- Shoot power

- Reload

- Cure Genophage (again)

- Jump

- Take Cover

- Kill

- Revive

- Summon Gigavorcha

- Walk

- Renegade interrupt

- Paragon interrupt

- Paragade interrupt (NEW FEATURE)

They're all gonna be on spacebar/X/B. All the other buttons will lead to either entering multiplayer instantlyy mid round, or a non-refundable instantaneous micro trasaction. Including the analog sticks.

Also Gears of War used the exact same button for cover/dodge and it worked perfectly well.

Maybe if they manage to improve the cover mechanics this time around it wouldn't be too much of a problem.

I wouldn't mind seeing button combos, sort of like Inquisition ended up doing with the latest rift ability in Trespasser.

At least Gears let you bounce and slide off the walls like a maniac. I can work with that.

Was it the same button for use, revive, dodge and sprint, too? Because right now you can't dodge if someone died at your feet, the revive takes precendence. Sprinting away? Sorry, you're bending down to help your comrade up.

At least 2 different control types, one Classic and Hardcore control with different button layout and most of the players are going to be satisfied.

Since the controls are going to be mostly cotroller type and not keyboard + mouse type.

Nope, I thought it was damn effective.  It made it so I could focus on mastering combat and combos.  It's unnecessary to have 30 buttons/combos for 30 different things.

I don't need 30 buttons for 30 different things, but I'd like to have the option to assign at least a few different buttons for entirely different things like going in cover/reviving a teammate/activating something. The most annoying thing that can happen to you in mp right now is a player dying with the pizza while in cover.. you have no idea what your character is going to do when you get to him- well, most of the time it's the one thing that is going to get you killed :) .

There will be one Paragon/Renegade interrupt-style prompt 12 minutes into the game's opening cinematic.

 

Literally any button on your mouse, keyboard, controller, gamepad, etc. will work. If you hit anything the interrupt succeeds. The game will then play itself for 16 hours straight, beat the end boss, and roll credits.

 

If you don't interrupt, the Reapers show back up and kill everyone. Game over.
