In the Normandy Crash Site DLC I think there is a bug. At various points as you walk around the crash site you are prompted to Press [F] to place the monument. When I press F, nothing happens.
Anyone else have this problem or found a solution?

worked fine for me, i put it at the first site I visited, the poor, poor mako *sniff*

I just figured it out. The action that you need to do is Melee. I had rebound that to the Left Shift key.

well what you are prompted to do (at least in the pc version) is to press and hold {F} not just press it
