Back in my day....
I used to play this game regularly.
And PUGs were real PUGs with none of this Carrier e-peening, Jugg shield-draining....
Nonsense.
Yeah, I hope Biovar won't take so much pity on...how should I phrase this to not to be offensive... idiot noobs, who pop into Platinum lobbies with PUGGernauts and Sexbots and can't stay alive for 5 seconds. Just stick with a nicely balanced character pool.

Back in my day?
My quest was vain.
I was doomed.
I wrecked Rebel Scum with this...
Dragon Princes of Caledor sounded a lot more fearsome than they actually were...
My best friend at the time was able to put the NX-74205 Defiant into a Civ2 game and we had fun doing it.
These guys were complete asshats.
People bet round pieces of cardboard for other round pieces of cardboard and hit round pieces of cardboard with other round pieces of cardboard in an attempt to win more round pieces of cardboard from other people that had round pieces of cardboard.
The graphics were out of this world.

Back in my day...
We used to share cartridges among friends and Duke Nukem was 32 floppy disks.
One copy of Perfect Dark went a looooooong way back when.
Same with the only friend who had all the group saves/unlocks on his controller expansion pack. That thing got used.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan won the Royal Rumble.
Everyone knows that the only Royal Rumble that matters is the one Bad News Brown stole from Bret Hart.
Excuse me while I go google that in order to feel really, really old.

Timing was the thing with the delay, especially at 0.01 at extraction

I have to confess that my childhood memory is, apparently, very poor.
What I was remembering was not, in fact, the first Royal Rumble. It was the opening 20-man battle royale at Wrestlemania IV.
I wouldn't have wanted to leave BSN with a mistaken version of professional wrestling history, and I am hung over and reading obscure wikipedia entries, so here (I'm bored) is the correct version of history:
The first Royal Rumble acknowledged by the WWE happened in January 1988, just a couple of months before Wrestlemania IV. It was not, however, the first Royal Rumble. That actually happened in 1987, several months earlier. One Man Gang won, but the poor fellow doesn't get credit for it, because the WWE insists the event never happened. This is most likely due to the fact that it was a colossal failure, having drawn a crowd of less than 2000. It would also mess up the record books, presumably, if they were to retroactively acknowledge it.
This moment in history brought to you by alcohol™ (makes your weekend great) and boredom™ (we know you can get your boredom anywhere, and we appreciate that you get yours from us.)

Back in my day, let's see.
Vanguards were able to fly.
Vanguards were true explorers as they saw maps from never seen before angles.
Banshees used magnet hands.
There were no challenge points.
Some challenges gave much more points than they do now.
Drells caused headache and not because they died fast.
Falcon was super effective.
Tech explosions were bad and cryo explosions were difficult to do.
Statis made Cerberus as glorified headshot practise.
Wraith was utterly useless.
Decoys were one of the best skills in the game.
Sentry turrets were totally waste of skills points.
Tactical cloaks were much better than they are now.
Revenant was even worse than it's now. It needed 3 dmg buffs to get were it's now.
Grenades were underwhelming. Their dmg needed to be buffed multiple times.
There were only 3 types of objectives: Hack, Assassination and objectives.
No limit for character cards and reset power cards.
Piranha got more teeth than it does now.
Destroyer hawk missiles was still named "missile launcher" at kill feed. The amount of hilarious confusion.
