I saw Frozen today and now I thinking Mages from Dragon Age especially DragonAgeExodus(or 2) and Dragon Age Inquisition are noobs.

My favorit class is the mage. the mage class in DAO was a lot of fun with this power and his little freedome. Hawke was like bad decision. i thought always had he forgotten to pick up his spell book when they fleed from the dark spawn?

In DAI I have three mages and all are more bad then the other one. Well, It is good that I have more fire spells or ice spells but that is not the lore of the magic schools. where are the other schools? And why every one in Thedas is thinking that mages are dangerous weapons? They can nothing yet.

In DA4 I want that my mage is saying 'You think I am dangerous? Than I am dangerous' From here the player can choose how the mage uses his magic but with 100%.

Like Elsa singing

Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway

Nearly everyone in Thedas thinks that mages are dangerous because of their connection to the Fade, making them easy targets for demons, plus the fact that their spells can be very very destructive.

I don't know why so many schools got cut in DAI (someone else can elaborate on that probably) though I know why blood magic was cut, but just because there's less diversity available to us in terms of schools in DA2 and DAI, that doesn't make mage!Hawke or mage!Inquisitor (or any other mage) a 'noob' (I mean, seriously??). There's still plenty you can do with it. Have you ever played as a force mage in DA2? Knight Enchanter? Rift Mage? Your mage character can be extremely dangerous if you build them right.

You wanna be a dangerous mage? Then be one. It's not that difficult and it certainly does not need any Elsa flair of all things. Ye gods no.

Evidently not. They have just created a vicious circle.

IDK, even low level spells like lightning bolt can be pretty powerful with the right specs.. But that's besides the point. The point is that mages play a little bit different role in DA:I then they do in DA:O, and that's perfectly fine with me. When you consider the creation tree and its upgrades and passives, mages can be pretty powerful in their own right.

That said, I get it, in DA:O you could solo the game on NM as a mage and thats really hard to do in DA:I. They were trying to balance the game mechanics when they created this game, and overall, they did a pretty good job of that (even though you can kill a dragon in 2 sec with a rogue).
