Stopping at the 450 mark is what bugs me, why stop there instead of going to a much nicer number like 500. Makes sense , right?

What challenges are you talking about OP? Weekend events? If you missed some event it's faded in your progress bar forever. Perhaps devs don't wanted to hurt completionist by showing unattainable things...

I know at least 3 friends of mine have completed legendary slayer challenge

Sorry for the confusion. I meant only the weekend challenges. I show 450/450 and I would like just one more round of weekend challenges.
I like the weekend challenges because they're a lot more fun and easy to complete
