I was playing 8 to 20 hours a day for years, then I got an xbox1 and played nothing

but Fallout 4 since it came out.  That's what, about 4 months?  Now I start the 360 and it

freezes at the start menu/galaxy readiness page.  I have tried many different restart config's,

but I am loathe to reload all the dlc, there is so much.  I only want mp.  I am hardwired to

a router.  I only need 2 gold solos for BotB, so starting over is not an option!  I have received

so much help here in the past I hope someone has an answer.  If this sound like begging, it is!

MP profiles don't really reset unless you create a new Origin account, so I'd say you won't ever have to start over.  I would reinstall everything and see if that helps.  It could be your disc or your X360's lens too.

It's the Retaliation Glitch. You cannot fix it yourself. It's temporary (it fixes itself after a week or two), but in the meantime you can work around it fairly easily.

We recently had someone else with this problem, and the fix was described there:

I've had the Retaliation glitch a couple of times, and it is annoying. I ended up waiting it out both times, as we didn't know about the workaround back then. Something has to synch somewhere on the server, but it's pretty much a mystery as to whatever it is.

Hope it fixes itself soon. The good news, as has been mentioned, is that your profile should work if you use the workaround, or failing that, whenever the retaliation glitch resolves itself.

Glad to be back, but I've forgotten so much.  What was this forums old name?  Working as intended, how I missed that!

I had condensed my old and new MS accounts, so maybe there was a problem there, but my profile still reflects all my

accomplishments, like 2 million credits! Connecting to the servers after starting the game got me going for a nice 4 hour

refresher with the ol jug.  I thought you were all kidding about this Retaliation Glitch, like it was a punishment for buying

the xbox1.

Thanks all

Dale, a truly Wild Banjoman

Yeah that was me! I got myself a usb stick, moved retaliation to it and now it works fine. Good luck on your gold solos!;-)

Good it worked for you, BTW. Somewhat ironically, it hit me the day after you posted your thread :P

There's a good chance possibility it's cured by now, also.

As to Gold solos, thanks, but I can barely solo Bronze with a Reegar Juggernaut.

HaHaHaHa.  When I reinstalled Retaliation my screen now freezes again.  Only booting with network cable unplugged can I get it to go.

Will see what EA has to say, after the Superbowl game!

By the way, forcing myself to play bronze solos really helped me be a better multiplayer, with my Jug/Lancer.

My remark to MrRated that it might be fixed now was because he had it a couple weeks ago. Did you read my advice in that thread I linked, BTW? You can just put Retaliation on a USB key.

Also, I can tell you now that contacting EA will not help. The problem is with the way Bioware built the database, and it's never going to to be fixed at the source of the problem. It'll go away on its own in a week, or a few weeks.

Bored with football game, I am in Seattle!  I don't mind disconnecting the lan cable for awhile as I usually play in 4 hour chunks.  I assume this site

is the new forum from N7HQ.  I re-synced my account, but I don't know if that affected anything.  Dumb question, but if I want to load my game

onto the hdd do I need both disc's? I did read all links and have tried all methods.  I think testing so many methods just used up the time that would

have elapsed if they had done nothing.  It sure seems odd that after having only one disc in the machine for at least a solid year, then leaving it off

for a few months that a problem like this would erupt.

Dale

I refuse to build those silly settlements in FO4, period.  My wife loves them.  I have maxed out the game and am bored with the

repetitious quests.  Sadly, it is rumored that the dlc will strongly favor the building game, not the shooting game.

If disconnecting the cable is easy, great. That works well too.

And yes, this is the official Bioware forum, they changed the name, but everyone here still calls it BSN.

To repeat: re-syncing your account doesn't help. To repeat also, the problem is not caused by something that you have done, and it's not something that you can fix. It will go away on its own, when something mysterious happens at the server end.
